Hey, Helmar peeps!
Jessica here and I'm excited to be posting for this FABULOUS week of inspiration while we feature AUTHENTIQUE paper, one of our wonderful preferred partners!
I LOVE Authentique paper and am so happy I got the chance to work with some absolutely GORGEOUS patterns from the "Gathering" collection. Did I say GORGEOUS? Seriously, you must check them out along with their other stunning collections!
I found this Recipe box today for 50% off and told a friend of mine I was with you know, I really should get/make a new one- my old one was getting kind of rickety.
As soon as I saw all of this pretty, pretty paper I knew which patterns I wanted to use so I measured the box and cut paper strips accordigly. I distressed all sides with a little Tim Holtz Distress Ink in "Broken China"- it is the prettiest shade of blue and goes totally perfect with the Authentique paper!
I used Acid Free glue to glue down all paper panels and even with the super-thick, great quality paper it adhered beautifully!
Once the box was covered with all that pretty Authentique paper, it was time to embellish! I got these awesome corners and beautiful die-cut sentiment from the Gathering collection as well! I decorated the lid and then it was time for one more little 'frill' ;)
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to glue a border all the way around the box and finished it off with some tattered rose trim I had on hand. Isn't it super pretty? Gives it more of a vintage look, too, I think.
Here's the finished product:
Thanks so much for stopping by today and be sure to visit our Facebook page for lots of exciting news about shipping, Helmar sampler packs, and MUCH more going on RIGHT NOW! See you all again soon!
xoxo,
Jess <3
