I want to start by saying how inspiring it is to be on this Design Team!! I am one very lucky girl, not only do I get to use the best adhesives in the world, but I am learning so many new things in the process.
With that being said, it really is the foundation behind this next layout for me. I never scrap a page about me. Well, that had now changed. I wanted to do a layout about what I would like to achieve for 2012! What my dreams are and my goals in the scrapping world for 2012.
My idea was to secretly stash my dreams as a checklist somewhere on the page. I am going to try to achieve those goals as the year progresses. This is all kept in a little scroll to the right of my photo. It is wrapped with ribbon. My aim is to not go back to it until the end of 2012 and check off what I hopefully achieve. Just putting it out in the cosmos and striving for the best I can be!
Then in 2013, I am going to scrap another layout, with the checklist as a feature. Hopefully is will be full with ticks!
These scrolls are so easy to make but look so effective by using co-ordinating papers. The papers I have used today are from the Kaisercraft Chanteuse Collection. I cut 2 x 2 inch strips out of two of the co-ordinating papers. Because these have back to back patterns, I can get 4 different colourings. Using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive I roll the paper around a pencil, put a little of the glue on, and roll and cut with a cutting blade. Then flip to get the opposite side. Once I have enough rolls, I glue them together.
I then wrapped a piece of pink embroidery twine around the entire stack of rolls.
I used Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist to spray some gauze to create a little texture. Then sprayed some on the background to bring it all together.
I am going to make 2012 become my year to shine!!! It is quite a list in that scroll. Of course being on the Helmar Design Team is still on the top of the list!!
Hope your dreams come true also!!

Renee ~ Love the LO and the rolled border technique. I have done that a couple times and it always works well to give the desired "pop" to a layout!!! Awesome work as always!!!
