Keeping to my music theme I decided to make it simple. By the time this goes live, my one and only nephew will turn 18. Woohooo!! He is a very bright young man who just doesn't get excited about birthdays like the women in our family! We are so excited for him and and his future. I made a card to celebrate the party the ladies of the family are all having for him, even if he doesn't wanna hang! (chuckles)
:::singing happy birthday Ryan the whole time create:::
- Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA Glue
- Helmar Quickfix Adhesive Runner
- Double sided patterned paper
- Colored Digital Images by Robert Jackson
- Solid black paper
- Metallic Happy
- Score board and stylus
- Thick Board
- Paper Trimmer
I took my score board and prepped my patterned paper. I scored it on all four sides at 1, 1.5, 2.5 and 3 inches. I then determined the top and bottom and scored at 3 and 8 only to the second line. I first learned how to make this shadow box years ago, but there are several tutorials on YouTube, should you need to see more explanation. Below shows how I cut out the corners and the highlighted area indicates where I am using the Quickfix Adhesive Runner
Then I started rolling up my sides of the shadow box. The Helmar Quickfix runner is perfect to hold this in place!! I also added some on the slanted corners. that overlaps the sides of the box.
Once everything inside the box was ok, I worked on the outside. Added another image, some chipboard lettering and slapped a black card on the back!!
Love how everything came together and it can come together for you too!! Choosing adhesive can make the difference in so many crafts, why not CHOOSE THE BEST with Helmar's WorldWide!! I hope you enjoyed my project as much as I enjoyed making it!! Thanks for your time!!
