I love the idea and how quickly this project came together. Now, with that thought and project in mind. Think of how easy it would be to apply this project to other themes such as a Christmas Portfolio filled with cards and letters you receive over the holidays. I want to create keepsakes for all the special times and memories.

So how many of you are like me and decided to stay home today instead of going out shopping? Well I have a fun little project that will take no time to whip up and can be used for the simplest of gifts for this holiday season.
I whipped up these cute little stockings using preferred product Scribble Scrabble paper and of course Helmar adhesives.
For the first stocking, I used design paper from Scribble Scrabble's Sweet 'N Sour collection. I wanted a vintage feel to the stocking so I distressed it with 3 different colors of Tim Hotlz distress ink. I attached all the pieces using Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner (making sure to only apply the adhesive on the sides and bottom of the stocking). I then did a little hand stitching using some dmc floss. I attached the ribbon only on the backside using Helmar Premium Craft Glue so that when it tied, it helped keep the flap closed. And when you open the flap.. a Gift Card! How cute is that? (my inside is really a dark green but my camera doesn't like the color and won't pick it up for some reason)
I wanted to try a different approach to the stockings so I used Scribble Scrabble's Circus Baby Collection and a die cut (flower, elephant's eye) from Scribble Scrabble's Ruth's Collection. I searched the net for a free paper pieced elephant pattern and came across this one.(pg 3 if it doesn't take you right to it)
I cut out the pieces from the Circus Baby Collection and glued them all together using Helmar Acid Free Glue. I used a grey piece for the backing of the stocking and stamped an image from MyStampBox in the corner and at the top of the flap. The circles on the elephant's eyes are also a stamp from MyStampBox stamped in grey and cut out.
I added some Sparkly Fluff to his hair using Helmar Premium Craft Glue. Did some more hand sewing to the stocking even though I had attached it using Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner.
This time instead of a gift card... how about some money instead of a gift card inside? What little child wouldn't want to get this cute stocking? It's great for any occasion, not just Christmas.

Tomorrow's the "big day"! Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year, second only to Christmas. I love the smell of the bird cooking, and the spicey pumpkin pie scent wafting through the house. Setting the table is my favorite part, getting out my special china with the little turkeys and pumpkins on it, reserved for our once a year feast.
This year I decided to add a little "home made" touch to the table, so I whipped up some festive placecards to put on everyone's plate. I made them almost entirely from Helmar Preferred Partners product - Worldwin Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Paper and Robins Nest Dew Drops.
I made the two turkeys for the little ones extra special, with colorful "fan" tails using Cosmo Cricket paper from the "Nutmeg" collection.
For the ladies, "hens" with colorful tails and little pilgrim hats for the "toms", all made using Worldwin Cardstock.
I assembled all of these little cuties with Helmar Craft Glue Premium

This week is a big celebration week for my family. Not only do we get to celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends, both my Mom and my Mother-in-Law celebrate their birthdays! Since our families live near each other, this happy coincidence allows us to celebrate with both of them on their special days. Yet another reason to be thankful this week. Happy birthday to you both!
Supplies:
Brown cardstock
Striped and dotted patterned paper—Scribble Scrabble
Chipboard die-cut leaf
Chipboard die-cut circles (3 sizes)
Smooch accent ink (Pumpkin, Molasses, Snickerdoodle)—Clearsnap
“happy birthday” rub-on phrase
Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner
Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Instructions:
1. Cut 6x12” piece brown cardstock, fold down to create top-fold 6x6” card base.
2. Cut 6x6” piece striped paper. Edge using Snickerdoodle Smooch and adhere to cardstock base using Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner.
3. Cut 4x5” piece dotted paper. Edge with Pumpkin Smooch and adhere to left side of card using Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner.
4. Cut 4 ¾”x 2 ¾” piece brown cardstock. Edge in Molasses Smooch and layer over dotted paper, adhering using Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner.
5. Cover leaf die-cut and medium circle with Pumpkin Smooch, large circle with Snickerdoodle Smooch, and small circle with Molasses Smooch. Allow to dry. Recoat as necessary to achieve desired coverage. Attach to cardstock as shown using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
6. Apply rub-on phrase.

I love Autumn don't you? I'm extremely fortunate to live in an area of the country where we have 4 seasons and chance to watch the leaves change in Autumn. When I pulled out my Scribble Scrabble collections to work with this month I knew I had the perfect photos to go with it.
I love that I can easily grab any of my Helmar adhesive products for any of my projects and I'm good to go! My staples always include Quick Fix Adhesive Runner and Liquid Scrap Dots for dimension.
In this layout I used the Scrap Dots to pop up my journal box and I know once I adhere anything down using my Quick Fix Adhesive Runner it's not going anywhere!

For those of us that consider any type of crafting a part of everyday life, there is always the question of how to store your supplies in an efficient, easy to find manner, while maximizing space and keeping it ascetically pleasing.
In other words, let’s have a super cute crafty area where we can easily find everything we need!
For YEARS I kept my beautiful china, pressed glass and vintage dishes in my cupboards – they only saw the light of day at Thanksgiving or possibly Christmas. But I was not satisfied. And I decided to start incorporating these pieces into my everyday life.
Then Helmar came into my crafty life and I knew I needed a way to get at these products at any given moment, while still maintaining maximum cuteness!
And here is how I have every craft adhesive I need within arms length at any given time.
I pulled a footed pressed-glass dish out of my cupboard and filled it with all of the Helmar products I use on a daily or weekly basis and placed it on top of my crafting table. Super cute and it is a reminder of my Great Grandma every time I look at it!
And here is a recent layout I created with my big bowl of Helmar and the Scribble Scrabble Sweet & Sour line - these yummy colors are perfect for fall themed layouts! The fabulous trims are from Creative Impressions - LOVE that leaf trim and know I will use A LOT of it!

I created part of my title (SHE) and an accent (girl icon) using the My Stamp Box stamps and the Liquid Scrap Dots by Helmar. It adds the perfect amount of girlie sass and dimension I was looking for to complete my LO! I used the Helmar Adhesives' Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner to adhere the papers and the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the ribbons and flower :)
I also wanted to share my very first LO I did with Helmar Adhesives that was picked up by Memory Makers and publishes in their last issue, Sept/October 2009. I used the Helmar Adhesives' Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner to adhere the papers. I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the ribbons and everything else. I always use the 450 for ribbons! Especially here because I layered them. The 450 dries quick, that's why it's called 450 QUICK DRY ;) hehe.

Birds of a feather, stick together....no doubt with Helmar Adhesives - LOL. I ran out of my stash of Helmar Adhesive runner last week. WAAAAHHHHH! I had no idea how much I relied on that stuff until I didn't have any left.
But fear not! I Just pulled out my Craft Glue Premium and went to town. I assembled this ENTIRE Clear Scraps album using the Craft Glue. It was pretty easy actually - I used a "splodger" (a piece of plastic that resembles a credit card) to spread my adhesive out and smooth out bubbles and bumps.
I used paper from Scribble Scrabble and made my own embellishments using Worldwin Cardstock and some Rubons I had in my stash.
I had alot of fun making the cover. I made my own "crackle paint" using Helmar Crackle Medium and Making Memories Paint. I poured step 1 of the Crackle Medium onto a paint tray, then mixed in an equal part of paint in a dark brown color. I applied it in a couple of really thin coats, then let it dry before applying step 2. I think that thinning out the medium with paint helped it to crack more then usual. I didn't paint the chipboard first, I just went right in with the crackle paint.
If you look really closely, you can see the small cracks and texture.

I just love it when fall comes into form this way, slowly and with beautiful color.
We went out this past week and took some of our yearly Fall photo shots of the beautiful leaves, before they fell. It is always a bittersweet time of excitement for the upcoming season, but a tint of sadness because everyone grows and changes so much from year to year. Today, it was just a day to enjoy the color!
I used Scribble Scrabble's rich papers and accent chipboard's for this layout, combined with some glittered naked Chipboard from Magistical Memories.
Adhesive wise, a very quick fix on this one.....
1) Dab your chipboard elements with a thin layer of Helmar's Professional Acid Free Glue, sprinkle with glitter and allow to dry.
2) Cut your trim for the flowers, dab Helmar's 450 Quick Dry and hold for a few and you have a wonderful little circle floral embellishment.
Colorful:
Products: Scribble Scrabble Patterned Papers and 3D Chipbard Elements, Magistical memories Naked Chipboard, Pink Paislee Glitter.
Adhesives: Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar Liquid Scrapdots, and Helmar Profssional Acid Free Glue.
Like I said, just a dab of Liquid 450 and hold the circular trim. Then add a button, with a dab more of the 450 Liquid Adhesive and you are set. Quick 3D Embellishment.
Here are a couple other layouts using Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Liquid Adhesive. I absolutely love this sticky stuff! Can't get enough of it. It makes creating layouts with dimension, so easy because of the ease of adhering my embellishments together.
Once again, I used a dab of 450 Quick Dry on the edges of the cardstock stickers and then rounded the trim along the outside. I actually placed a book atop the trim to hold the trim in place while it dried, and worked on something else. Helmar's Scrapdots were used to adhere the flowers to the page, along with th title. I love the idea that the Liquid Scrapdots are "layerable." I add a dot, let dry, and add another to my desired height. Then adhere. Quick and easy.
Prince: Basic Grey Patterned papers, Making Memories Tin, Prima Flowers, and chipboard title.
Adhesive: Helmar's Liquid Scrapdots and 450 Quick Dry Liquid Adhesive.
