okay, I could get in a lot of trouble for this one....but, since we're friends I'm going to let you in on a little secret...Helmar has some NEW products coming out at CHA, and the new Zapdots are going to blow your mind!
Zapdots are little dimensional adhesive dots that you peel off of a sheet, then apply to your project. Once you have them stuck down you remove the protective top sheet and you can apply flocking or glitter. Is that not THE coolest thing? If it were up to me, Helmar would win "best new product" with this one ;)
Here's a little project I want to share with you that perfectly demonstrates the awesome-ness that is Zapdots...
I went to the dollar store and picked up a plain votive candle holder. I applied Zapdots in a random pattern all over the holder. I let them set for about 10 minutes to make sure they were good and stuck before I removed the top covering.
Next, I sprinked the whole thing with glitter. My choice was this beautiful "Winter Frost" by Clearsnap. A little goes a very, VERY long way...
Shake off the excess glitter, and in just a few minutes you have an AMAZING creation that looks like you bought it at a fancy boutique store! This is a great little project to keep in your arsenal for those times when you need a quick and easy gift on the cheap.
