Altered Frame/Wall Hanging by Pinky
With spring quickly approaching and especially wedding season on its way, now is the time to think about handmade gift. This project would make a great wall hanging year round or a beautiful gift for a wedding or anniversary.
Supplies used
Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Professional Acid Free Glue
Clearsnaps Adhesives
Clearsnaps Glitter
Tulle
Frame
Vintage lace
Clear glass pebbles
I began by removing the glass in the frame and printing the word LOVE on a plain sheet of 8.5X11 white paper in my chosen font. Then I laid the paper behind the glass and outlined it with stickles, then filled it in with stickles and covered with Clearsnaps Glitter. I have a step by step video tutorial on the glass technique here.
Then I added a Clearsnaps Designs Adhesives to the front using Clearsnaps Glitter on it.
I then lightly sanded the edges of the frame and inked it with Clearsnaps Ink
For this heart I used a foam template (You could use cardstock of course) and I made several vintage lace flowers as previously seen on the Helmar Blog HERE, instead of using buttons or brads in the middle I used small glass pebbles I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to make the flowers, and the Professional Acid Free Glue to cover the glass pebbles with glitter.
I then placed the Tulle into the area I wanted it with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive then used a staple gun to ensure strength.
Truthfully this is a gift for a friend who is celebrating her 10th anniversary, but I have another one I made hanging at home in my living room, it inspires me to think "Love" every single day.
I hope you found this project useful, I would love to see what you do with it! Please do share if you make one, have a beautiful day.
