Helmar Textured Effects

Helmar Textured Effects creates a textured finish when applied. This product is quite amazing; I tested it on various items included in April’s Regal Romp kit. A ticket stub, corkboard, and button were my victims of choice. Using a foam craft brush, I applied a thin layer of Helmar Textured Effects to the entire surface of each item, allowing it to dry on its own, which only takes 10 minutes for a thin layer; A little bit goes a long way.
Textured effects will allow you to create so many different looks on your projects, just by changing the tool in which you use to apply it. I used a foam brush, my fingertips, bubble wrap, a Lego, and a Wendy’s take out knife to apply the second coat. Each technique yielded an irresistible and intriguing look to the embellishments once they were dry. Don’t worry about how thick you apply the second coat of Helmar’s Textured Effects, because it dries clear, and the best part, its acid free! Be advised, the thicker you apply the textured effects, the longer it will take to dry.
Experiment with alcohol inks and Ink on your finished textured item; mix your acrylic paint with your textured effects to create a colored texture. The possibilities are endless with this sensational product.
If you love Helmar, be sure to order right away as these products are flying off the shelves. Have no fear, Erin at Treasured Scrapbooking is always restocking her online store with Helmar’s fabulous mix of products.
