Some Saturday inspiration.

I thought that I would drop in quickly and share with you a project that I did using Maya Road Chip Board pieces and a piece of Hambly Screen print all put together with my favorite Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive. I Call this my LOVE BIRD tag.

I started out with picking out all of my Maya Road Chipboard pieces and spraying them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer mists on both sides. I cut down to size my Hambly screenprint and pieced it between two frames. I then decorated it with some Prima flowers. The entire project was created using the Helmar 450 Quick dry adhesive.

I Found My Thrill!!!

Yep, You've got it, On Blueberry Hill!!! When I found this new collection from Nikki Sivils in the mail, I lowered my voice and started singing like Fats Domino. This collection is filled with the sweetest little blueberries, brightest little flowers and prettiest sunshines. A super dooper happy collection that is perfect for every occasion.

Use it is summer layouts, for a BBQ invitation or a simple thank you card. I opted for the thank you card and I love love love how the flower turned out. It is actually made from the sun cut outs. I traced a few on some shimmery paper to give it a little more personality. Not like this line needed any help in that department though.

The stickers, leaves, papers and brad are all from Nikki Sivils, so take a look at the new collections that have just been released. You are going to love them.  Here she is...

I used a lot of dimensional adhesive on this one. The scroll vines have small black Helmar Square Zapdots attached. the Leaves all have become best friends with Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots and I love how they turned out. The paper has all been attached using the Helmar Premium Craft Glue, which is a MUST have in any crafters adhesive arsenal. Believe me, you need it!!!

She Drives featuring -Cosmo Cricket- Joy Ride- collection

I love this collection of paper and had actually bought some of the pieces of paper before Helmar sent it to me. I did not purchase the travel pieces because I was not planning to use it for atravel themed page. BUT once I received the full collection  I decided it was so darn cute I had to come up with an idea to use some of the pieces.

I grabbed a photo of my niece in her car off of facebook and printed it for this page and I love how it turned out.

 

The grey striped paper is adhered  to the base paper with Helmar's Quick-Fix Adhesive Runner. The clouds,chipboard and flowers are attached with Helmar 450 Quick Dry. The cars are attached with  Helmar Zap Dots for added dimension.

I really have had fun with this collection . I have created quite a few other pages ns that I will be posting later this week. Talk to you soon!

Sneaking In One More Pink Paislee Post!

I made this Carousel Mini for my daughter's dance teacher. Marion Smith taught this class a while back and I just couldn't help but to make one! Well... I actually made 2! I created this one using the Sprinkle of Whimsy Kit from Scrap-Tastic.com :) I used mostly Pink Paislee Papers and a bunch of other goodies in the kit including Pink Paislee notecards! I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to hold all the embellishments onto the pages. And you can also see that I used Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist :)

And the topper.... It's amazing how Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots come in handy! I placed a glob of the Liquid Scrap Dots right under the top layer of the flower and I stuck the butterfly right into the glob. That was it! I didn't have to prop it up or anything like that!

I also wanted to share a LO that I did in a recent class. You can watch the class here. I used Helmar's Quick Fix Adhesive Runner and 450 Quick Dry, Pink Paislee Paper and Tape. And I featured Helmar's Textured Effects and it was so fast and so easy, check it out! Here's the origional LO and the LO I created during the class:

Happy Sunday!!

Hi it's me Cathy and today I'd like to showcase for you products that I used from Nikki Sivils and The Robins Nest in combination with Helmar USA products.

Tags are fun to create and are a nice accent to a beautifully wrapped gift. For my project this week I created this tag and I sure hope you like it and if it's your birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

 I started with a tag that I covered on both front and back with some patterned paper from My Minds Eye. I then sprayed a Maya Road chip board frame with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I then glued down the frame with Helmar USA 450 Quick Dry adhesive and put it on the tag. Once that was secure I cut out the inside of the frame area removing the paper from the tag to give it a hollowed out center. I  decorated the tag with ribbon, a Prima flower stem and then glued it down with the Helmar USA 450 Quick Dry Adhesive . I wanted to give my Prima butterfly a bit of lift so I used the Helmar USA Liquid Scrap Dots. Once all of that was completed I added some Robins Nest gemstones and used the Helmar USA Gemstone glue to glue them down and topped it off with a Nikki Sivils Cool Cord Brad and Nikki Sivils sticker.

Pink Paislee and Hambly Studios

I have looked at this photo of my husband for a long time and finally decided to scrap it with the 

Pink Paislee collection from our preferred partner. I wanted to create a party them so I created a banner with pom pom using the Pink Paislee papers. I also incorporated the Hambly Screen Prints  transparency with the green elephants in the design.

  

The two base Pink Paislee papers are attached with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner  and then I stitched around the page. The Transparency is attached with Helmar V2 Vellum Adhesive. I have to say ..... This product is new to me and I love how it works. It is a must have if you use vellum on you projects.  The  banner is built on a piece of cord called rat tail and the banner elements are  attached withHelmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. The photo was placed on top of the transparency using the same Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive.

Another wonderful feature with  Helmar adhesives are the screw top lids. No more looking for the lids for the bottle  when you have completed your project. I have actually had bottle caps snap off during travel and I ended up with a huge mess of spilled glue in my bag.  Talk to you next week!

Pink Paislee Trinket Container

Happy Friday!  Have you enjoyed all the amazing & fabulous creations this week featuring our Preferred Supplier...Pink Paislee?  I have a sweet trinket container that I wanted to share with you today!!   It's a good thing to have a place to hold all those special items that usually are layed on my desk, and then somehow seem to disappear into my crafty pile of papers...that ever happen to you??

So, I decided to decorate this little silver trinket box with Pink Paislee papers and die cuts!  All the flowers & leaves are handmade and with Pink Paislee papers!!  I've distressed, inked, and glued these beauties up with my Helmar 450 Quick Dry!  This glue rocks..in more ways than one!!  The durability, and ease in working with this product just makes things so much easier when creating!! I added a couple of different lace (glued them with Helmar Fabric Glue), crinkly ribbon sprayed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist, and a sweet little heart tag (double-sided and glued down with my Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive) that flows down the bottom left.  There are a couple of black flourish swirls and even carried that by cutting up one little black rhinestone flower to put on the scalloped heart!!  The die cuts that lay on top are from Pink Paislee too!

When I first laid eyes on the Queen Bee Collection from Pink Paislee, I just knew that I'd caught the breeze just right, for I was taken away to Fairyland in one gentle blow. Lilies and swirls, damask and polka dots in the prettiest shades of yellows, grays and greens.

It reminded me so much of one of my favorite Faerie portraits, that I knew I had to pair the two up. And what a perfect match they were. You all get to see a layout from me today and I think it is my favorite to date. It really screams Erika and I hope that you can learn a little more about me.

I created this layout for the Ms Scraptastic 2010 round 3 contest at Scraptastic. A layout of a passion we have. Mine {over and above crafting} is Faeries.

I used so many different Helmar products on this layout. First all of the paper was adhered to the 12 x 12 base using Helmar Premium Craft Glue, my new BFF. The Lace was attached using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. This adhesive works so beautifully on lace. Next, the photo was layered onto the cardstock with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, perfect for photos. Some Helmar Gemstone Glue for the pearls and finally the queen of the ball, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for all of the dimensional elements. 

That is a whole lotta Helmar, but each product works differently, and I know that all of the elements on my layout will stay put on my trip to Fairyland; Big gusts of wind or not

Pink Paislee and Helmar - need I say more?

I am a huge fan of Pink Paislee and today I will be sharing a layout and a card made with them.  I am so happy they are our preferred partners, as I just love creating with them. So, let me share my layout with you.

 

 Michael and I took these pictures at a New Years eve and I just loved the papers and to me they just went perfect with the pictures.  I also used Unity Stamps on this layout and some Silhouette die cuts.  I pleated my border paper and used my  Helmar 450 Quick Dry  to do that.  Let me show you a close up of my butterfly, as that has quite a bit of Helmar on it.

 

I love layering elements and for that what's better choice than  Helmar Zapdots.  So, there is a lot of that holding this section together and my flower was glued together with  Helmar Zap Dots.

Next is a pretty card and again using Pink Paislee and Unity Stamps, perfect combo, if you ask me!  But I will let the card do it's speaking....hehehe.

 

 

Again on this card I used pleating of the paper with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and the layering was done with  Helmar Zap Dots.  And of course I used Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner to glue both the layout and card together, can't create without that...hehehe

Helmar and Punky Sprouts....a winning combination :)

Have you seen the new albums from Punky Sprouts? The Helmar Design team LOVES them! What makes them fun and unique, is the mixed textures of the chipboard, acrylic and canvas pages. Helmar 450 Quick Dry is the perfect adhesive for these albums because it works on ALL of those surfaces....and then some.

The great thing about Helmar 450 Quick Dry  is how it dries completely clear - no streaks, no bubbles. You can't even tell its there. I used it to apply that gorgous Pink Paislee paper to all of the pages in my album, and to adhere that beautiful Hambly Screenprints transparency to my cover. I also used it to adhere my Maya Road Chipboard Alphas, which were covered with Clear Snap ink and then sprinkled with PK Glitz Glitter Crystals in Light Blue.

On the canvas pages, I applied a thin layer of Helmar Fabric Stiffener & Draping Liquid to make the page a little sturdier. Again it dries completely clear and you don't even know its there. It helps to prevent the canvas from fraying which is an added plus. It also gives the canvas just enough structure that I was able to apply that photo border using PK Glitz Double Sided Tape and some Glitter Glitz.

I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to attach my journaling spots and embellishments. Again, its a quick drying, undetectable adhesive that makes completing your album quickly and cleanly a breeze!
