You know the old saying "Necessity is the mother of invention"...well so is busyness and sometimes even laziness! LOL!
This week is Pink Paislee and Punky Sprouts week on the blog. I knew exactly which papers I wanted to use for my project, but my printer ran out of ink and it was entirely too hot to make an extra run all the way down to my local Walmart to pick up some photo ink so I could print out photos for my Punky Sprouts mini album. So what's a girl to do? I put on my thinking cap and came up with what I think is one of my favorite altered projects to date!
I created this little plaque for my scrap room using pieces from Punky Sprouts Punky Love album, and products from a few of our other preferred partners, Pink Paislee, Maya Road, Clearsnap, and ribbon from Fancy Pants.
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to attach elements to the acrylic, Helmar Premium Craft Glue to attach the ribbon and canvas elements, Helmar Zapdots for some added dimension, Helmar Gemstone Glue to adhere the rhinestones, and Helmar Fray Stoppa to put and end to those pesky fraying edges.
I used one of the acrylic pages for the background. First, I cut off the tab and then poked holes around the heart so I could hand stitch around it. I painted around the edge and then started decorating.
Here's a close-up of the edge of the canvas sheet from the Punky Sprouts album. I weaved a strip of Pink Paislee patterned through the pre-punched holes and added Fray Stoppa before adhering to my project.
I used Helmar Gemstone Glue to adhere the rhinestones. I like the fact that this glue does not cloud my rhinestones.
For me, no project is complete without a little dimension. That's where Zapdots come in handy! I love that I can pile them up to achieve my desired level of dimension. So there you have it...whenever you find yourself in a bind or are inspired to think outside of the mini album, Helmar is here with all of your adhesive needs!!
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Until next post...HAPPY SCRAPPING!!

Life is good!! Too often I know I can dwell on the negative and forget about the many blessings! So, when i saw that one of this weeks partner companies was Punky Sprouts I knew I had to do a mini album and record the things i love about my life! And how thankful I was that Pink Paislee was the other partner company!! I ADORE Pink Paislee!! I chose to use the Queen Bee line for this book... very elegant and classy.. exactly the way I wanted to create this album!
I do have a slight problem though... life has gotten in the way and I don't yet have the album complete. But I can't wait any longer... I just HAVE to show you how it is coming along! Ready?
I think my FAVORITE thing about the Punky Sprouts albums is that they are mixed mediums!! Acrylic, chipboard and canvas... all in one!! I've never been big on doing mini's because I find I tend to get a little bit bored... but not with these ones! 3 types of mediums for my backround!! I'm in heaven!!
So, I chose to use the semi-circle as my cover. I adore the way you can layer things!! I have my cover actually taking up the acrylic page AND a chipboard page! Here are the 2 layers of my cover separately...
Above is the sheer acrylic layer... shown in the window and on a flat surface for 2 different perspectives. The circle ring is chipboard covered with Pink Paislee paper. I mounted this circle to the back of the acrylic page using the V2 vellum adhesive! LOVE IT!! The chandelier is also chipboard. I sprayed it with Tattered Angles glimmer mist and added some liquid pearls. I attached this thru the binding of the minibook itself.it swings freely and is not attached to the acrylic at all. Love this effect! Some more liquid pearls are added around the perimeter of the page.
This page is the chipboard layer of the cover. I trimmed the tab off of this page. I added some Pink Paislee papers, American Crafts Thickers, Jenni Bowlin small circle alphas and some Distressed stickles. I really like the way these 2 pages go together to form my cover page.
On the inside, I have 2 chipboard pages completed. Here they are...
So far on this mini, I've used lots of Helmar goodies!!
Helmar V2 Velum Adhesive for the chipboard to the Acrylic
Helmar Acid Free Glue for attaching the patterned paper to the chipboard mini album pages
Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive runner for my journaling strips
Helmar 1/2 inch round black zapdots for my flower on page 2.
Helmar liquid scrap dots for my butterflies and my fussy cut work on page 2.
So, I have lots more work to do on this little beauty! Tune in later in the week for the rest of my reveal!! Thanks for your patience!!
Until then, Happy Scrapping!!

It is over 2000 miles from California to Chicago, IL That is a long way to showcase Helmar products but so worth it.
We want to reach as many crafters as we can to join us on the journey and we need your help. For every mile we travel we would love to have a new Facebook Fan. We already have 1116 Fans so that is 1116 miles traveled.
So as Helmar caravans across the United States to CHA we are asking you to refer new fans to Facebook. And for spreading that news we want to thank you all......Whoever refers the most fans until August 16th will receive:
REMEMBER your referral must be a new fan to Helmar and "like" our fan page. They must also mention your name on our Wall (i.e. Tracy Weinzapfel sent me) The only way we will know is if they let us know you sent them.
Search "Helmar" on Facebook or Click the icon:
and as we travel the miles we will give out prizes at 1300 fans, 1400 fans, etc. AND.......we stay tuned for fun photos along the way to guess our location for more for random prizes. This is my way of playing road games with everyone. It will feel good knowing that every mile we travel there will be a new Helmar Fan joining us on the trip.
Check out just some of the prizes featuring some of the great companies we partner with:
Helmar/Bella Blvd:
Helmar/The Robin's Nest:

Hey there! Laura coming at you today to show you how easy it is to mix and match different scrapbook manufacturers to create a fun one of a kind project for yourself
Here is the layout I created
I grabbed some super cool products from Hambly Screen Prints, Maya Road, Basic Grey, Tattered Angels and Purple Cows. And of course with all my projects I have all my favorite Helmar Adhesives including Liquid Scrap Dots, 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, Quick Fix Permanent Adhesive runner and V2 Vellum Adhesive.
First of all I cannot express to you enough how amazing the V2 Vellum adhesive is!! I sprayed it on the transparency before I attached it to my layout. See any smudges or goobers? Yeah, I didn't think so! V2 sprays on seemlessly. And guess what?!?!? It sprays on white but dries clear. That way you can see where you have and have not sprayed yet!
If you haven't figured out by now I'm all about dimension on my projects! One of my favorite go to tips to create needed dimension and make sure my elements stick to my page is using Liquid Scrap Dots. I used them to adhere the stick pins to the backing of the Maya Road felt flower and then also to adhere it to my page.
Love it! Don't you!?!? Thanks for stopping by! Now get scrapping!!

Hey guys! Happy Friday! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend so far! As you know, I am hooked on Helmar Adhesives! They are just the best out there and so fabulous! But, I have a new obsession....reading. I always enjoyed reading as a child, but as I have grown, it seems I cannot find as much time to do so. However, I have re-discovered my passion for reading and am enjoying every thrilling minute as I turn the pages of my books. I was laying in bed last night, finishing up a chapter, and I realized I did not have a bookmark. Well, being a crafter, I had to fix that right away. So today, I sat down and pulled out some of my favorite adhesives and products from this weeks preferred partners to create a bookmark just for me.
For this bookmark, I used the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner and Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
For my bookmark, I began by selecting some super cute patterned papers and stickers from Hambly Screen Prints. I started with a base of Core'dinations cardstock and layered the patterned paper over that. To create my 'grass' on the bottom, I used the Freestyle Mouse from Purple Cows. I just adore this tool. It is so easy to use....the blade glides across the paper like cutting through butter. Love it! After I had adhered my paper using the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, I placed my stickers from Hambly Screen Prints. Next, I knew I wanted this bookmark to stand the test of time and be durable, so I decided to pull out my Hot Laminator from Purple Cows and laminate it. After laminating, I added some pearls to the eyes of the owl and to the tree. I then selected some chipboard letters from Maya Road. I spritzed the alpha's with 'Bubblegum Pink' Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. After drying, I adhered these with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. Next, I used my Crop-A-Dile to add a pink eyelet. Finally, I added a mixture of funky fiber to the top. Here is my project:
I love the dimension these pearls give to the Hambly tree.
I hope you have enjoyed this simple project. I know I will enjoy having a personalized bookmark for years to come. Thank you to this weeks preferred partners for sending your fabulous products to work with!
Have a fabulous weekend!

I love that we're using Hambly products this week - it really gives us a chance to showcase our Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive. I used a Hambly transparency on this canvas frame to show just exactly how awesome the 450 Quick Dry actually is.
I used the frame as-is....no paint, just completely bare. I coated it with a thin layer of Helmar Quick Dry 450 and then applied the Hambly transparency over top of it. There is NO trace of the adhesive! It's completely clear, with no streaks, strings or bumps. Its remarkable really.
That cute little "bun" is our rabbit "Wheezie". She likes to snuggle up to my daughters fluffy bunny slippers. Is that just the cutest thing ever?
I used the 450 Quick Dry to put my entire project together. I used it on the Maya Road flowers, the Maya Road Chipboard and that cute little butterfly. Its so versatile, like many other Helmar products, that you can use it on just about anything.
A big thank you to Helmar Preferred Partners Hambly, Maya Road, Clear Snap and PK Glitz for providing the fabulous product for this fun frame.
Until next time,
Marci

Helmar USA, Inc. is pleased to introduce our July Guest Designer......Kathy Northup! Take it way Kathy....
Thanks so much for the opportunity to be the Guest Designer for Helmar Adhesives during the month of July! What an exciting time this is.....The 4th of July, Summer Days, Swimming, Flowers and all things outdoors! I hope you enjoy the projects I have made for the design team!
The flowers were made with satin fabric and the wonderfully strong Helmar 450 Quick Dry! I love that stuff! I followed the video instructions from Rhonna on House of 3 and have many that want a couple of these! They look great as brooches and also attached to headbands for your hair! Mine will be added to my favorite jean jacket!
The cute pinwheels were made the morning of the 4th of July....nothing better than procrastination! I downloaded the pdf and printed these onto glossy photo paper.....cut them out and used the Helmar Quickfix Adhesive Runner to adhere each flap prior to attaching to the wooden dowel with Helmar 450 Quick Dry! Unfortunately, using the glue makes it impossible for the pinwheels to turn! however they are still in the flower pots and holding well in 98 degree heat and 3 thunderstorms! (I didn't know it was waterproof, too!) I need a gallon of the 450 quick dry!
The last project was a fun little layout about my little puppies! I used the tape runner to adhere each photo and Helmar 450 Quick Dry for the button/brads. I used Basicgrey max and oliver paper, Bazzill cardstock, Art Warehouse rub-ons. What fun this little layout was to complete!
