Have you tried Helmar 2 Step Crackle Medium yet? It might be one of the more versatile products in the Helmar line.
Crackle Medium comes in 2 jars and is a 2 step process. I know that makes it sound like it would take a long time, but it really doesn't. For my project today, I used the Crackle Medium for the roof of my Maya Road house.
First, I inked the roof of my house using Clearsnap Ink. I then painted over it with a thin layer of Crackle Medium - step 1. I let it dry for about 15 minutes. You want it to still be a little bit tacky to the touch. Next, you paint on a generous coating of Step 2. The thicker the coating the more cracks you'll get. This is something you'll want to experiment with but I personally like to really spread it on thick.
The result is a very cool finish that also has shine.
I finished off my house with Lily Bee papers from the "Hello Sunshine" collection, some glitter fromPK Glitz and some Maya Road ribbon. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere my paper and embellishments. Thank you to our wonderful preferred partners for providing such AWESOME supplies...You're the best! ;)
Until next time,
Marci
