Crimson and Clover

I think my favorite color combination of all time is red, black and white/cream. There is just something quite striking about them. Kinda like the joke "what is black and white and red all over?"  Is it a zebra taking a ketchup bath? a newspaper with a sunburn? The possibilities are ending for the punchline I be thinkin.

So it goes without saying that the red and black line from Jenni Bowlin, is one of my beloved crafty collections. Jenni sure knows how to make things purdy doesn't she. From Clover Vine to Red Border Cardstock Stickers. I mean if anybody can name a patterned paper "red olives" and make me love it, that person has to be a bit magically don't ya think? (insert ACK I so dislike olives here)

As I sat down and starting cutting and gluing, as usual, I started to sing. Music is a mover and shaker in my craft space and I can even carry a tune. Imagine that!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE how that flower with the red circle damask paper turned out. TRES CHIC!!! Then of course there is a butterfly. What would an Erika project be without a butterfly right? These great Jenni Bowlin embellished butterflies in white, are perfect for misting. Just adore how that flutterby looks after using a little Scarlet Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.

For all the layers of paper, I used the Helmar Premium Craft Glue. The flower was pieced together using Helmar V2 Vellum spray, perfect for those intricate paper pieces. And that butterfly fluttered onto the card using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots.

Padding My Card Stash

Is it just me? It seems as though every time I need a card, I never have one suitable for the occasion. So what I've started doing recently  is building up my card stash by making "just because" type of cards since they can be used for numerous occasions. 

I highlighted Preferred Partner Purple Cows' designer click blades to add lots of texture to the following 2 cards. I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to adhere the papers and ribbon to the card and Helmar Gemstone Glue to adhere the rhinestones to the ribbon.  I love that the gemstone glue not only adheres to paper, but to fabrics as well!!

Helmar and Cosmo Cricket

I gotta tell you...I was thrilled when I discovered that my Helmar box of goodies included the Joy Ride collection from Cosmo Cricket! So today I get to share a layout that I made using both of these awesome manufacturers.

I seriously LOVE this line. :) I just used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to adhere everything. I'll let you in on a secret about that....this glue lasts forever. It's all I have left of my Helmar glue because I used everything else! :)

Cosmo Cricket & Unity Stamps meet Helmar!!

Hi there..it's Karen!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  I wanted to share a card I made using products from a couple of our Preferred Partners. I loved combing fabulous products from Cosmo Cricket and Unity Stamps with these awesome  Products: Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots , Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue, Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, and Helmar 3D Zap Dots!!

I just knew when I saw the "Material Girl" designer papers by Cosmo Cricket, and the "thread spools" stamp and "I'll pull you Through" stamp sentiment from Unity Stamps, that I just had to combine these partners with my Helmar products!!  

Even the handmade flower is made by just cutting up a sheet of the Cosmo Cricket papers, and layering each flower using Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots!!  The main die cut where I colored in the Unity Stamps "thread spools" stamps is backed using Helmar 3D Zap Dots!!  Everything else is adhered using Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA Glue!!  And, that strip of measuring tape was cut from the Cosmo Cricket papers too!! 

To add a little sewing flair, I adhered the yellow button with Helmar 45O Quick Dry Adhesive, after I tied the black DMC floss through and tied a black bow!  The pearl stick pin is from Maya Road, and I thought it would be sweet to add it to the handcut flower that I made!!  Plus, I used my decorative scissors to make the  "pinking" border strips!

You Make me Happy

Happy Sunday!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend wherever you are!  Today I am going to share a cute little happy card made with Cosmo Cricket papers, Unity stamps, Ippity by Unity stamps and PK Glitz Glitter.  And all glued together of course with Helmar products!

That's a lot of glue, isn't it??? So here is my little card.

 To create my sun, I stamped the image on white card stock, colored it in with Copic markers and applied some  Helmar Gemstone glue to the rays of the sun and sprinkled a little Golden Diamond PK Glitz Glitter.  I love the pizzazz it adds to the image and makes it come alive.  My label with the sentiment was adhered with Helmar USA ZAPDOTS, it just adds a perfect hight and my sun was adhered with Helmar Scrap Dots to add the hight I really wanted.

Welcome August Helmar Guest Designer, Ellen Sosnoski!

Today I am sharing with you some cards with my favorite

Helmar adhesives. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive and Helmar Zapdots. The great thing about these cards is that all you need is one Zapdot to get a great look. It's fast, cute and effective.

 

 

 

For the Birthday Boy card, I cut out a balloon shape with my circle punch and added the sentiment. By popping it off the page with the Helmar Zapdot, it allows me to adhere the hemp underneath the balloon. Next, just twist the hemp and tack it down with some Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive. It's clear and dry fast so you won't see it and you don't have to stand there forever holding it down and waiting it for it to dry. 

 
 
 

For the Hi Card, the process is similar. I layered some small embellishments and paper cutouts and separated them with a Helmar Zapdot. Adhere the rest of the embellishments and punched border with Helmar Craft Glue.

MISS YOU!

I know that we all have someone that has come into our lives when we least expected it. That someone for me is my girlfriend Angie. I met her in New Orleans 3 years ago. We were both celebrating our birthdays. Since then we have met up every year and have also vacationed together in Mexico and my husband and I  spent a week at her home in Louisiana. I made this card for her. I hope it inspires you to create and send out a card letting that someone special in your life know that you are thinking about them.

This card was created using a  "MISS YOU" stamp from My Stamp Box . I first embossed a piece of cardstock using a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then cut out the center with an oval die cutter. I then used a Fluer de lis stamp that I have and stamped it on a piece of Graphic 45 paper. I hand cut it out and then using my Helmar USA V2 Vellum Adhesive spray I sprayed the back of the Fluer de lis and put it down on the cut out portion of the cardstock that I embossed. By using the Helmar USA V2 Vellum Adhesive spray I was able to insure that it had adhesive over the entire back and that there would be no loose sections. I then took that oval section and using Helmar USA ZAPDOTS I popped it up onto the card and completed my design. My Prima flowers were added using Helmar USA 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to insure, once dry that they would not come off.

A New Stage In Life

Hey all!  Laura here and I'm less than a month out from being a mom to a full fledged teenager!  Yee-haw!  Such fun times and I can't wait to watch my kid grow and develop their interests and personalities during this, so important and pivotal time in her life

But....since she's still not quite there yet I wanted to document these last few weeks of being a tweenager (yes, it's a word...because I said so!)

One of our preferred partners Cosmo Cricket has this amazing collection that I knew would be PERFECT for what I wanted to show in this project.  I also had some fun and cute accent pieces and alphas from Jenni Bowlin another of our amazing partners to use on this project.

Do you ever wonder sometimes if the chipboard embellishments will stay on your project, even if they have an adhesive backing?  Or maybe the adhesive backing is not as strong as you'd like it to be.  Well, Helmar can fix that! I used a couple of dabs of Helmar Premium Craft Glue to the backing of the chipboard and knew that it would adhere strongly and even better yet, it wouldn't warp my chipboard!
