I'll admit it, I'm a complete water lover. Anything that has to do with the ocean, sand and surf always gets my undivided attention. The water completely calms my spirit, makes my mind float along the waves and I think I even grow fins and gills. I'm a water baby through and through
So when I opened my Design Team box a while ago, and saw water, I wasn't freaking out. It was simply the prettiest paper I'd seen. Then I looked at the next few pieces and they were covered in coral and starfish. Yup, I had a little piece of the ocean in my goodies right from The Robins Nest
I Used Glitter Black Starfish, Glitter Pink Coral , Glitter Pink Crackle and Glitter Orange Crackle to create this card. We all know The Robin's Nest for their wonderful Dewdrops, but you should really grab some of their beautiful papers.
I also finished the bottom of the card with some of the Jade Diamond Drops. They are nicely positioned using Helmar Gemstone Glue. Gotta love this stuff. Dries clear and I'm sure they'd stick there after years at the bottom of the ocean.
The silk ribbon is from one of our Preferred Retailers Really Reasonable Ribbon and I love the color of it. I created a "ripple" with the ribbon, using the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner. First I put a strip of it on the card front. I then gathered the ribbon and stuck it onto the tape. Once that was done, I needed to make sure those "ripples" were going to flow in one direction. So I went back and put small bits of the Quick Fix Adhesive Runner in between the pleats and PRESTO!!!! A little ribbon magic.
Last but never the least, is Liquid Scrap Dots to the rescue. The cut out starfish and the white coral pieces were adhered to the card front with the best darn product ever invented. I love you Liquid Scrap Dots!!! We sure do live a life of ease with this stuff in our crafting arsenal...
