HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all my US family and friends!!! I really miss being there at this time of year and I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I got these hessian pieces from Canvas Corp at CHA Summer and I finally decided to make this banner with them!
First I sprayed some strips of white crepe paper with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Harvest Orange) and left that to dry. This was a great chance to use my Helmar fabric glue to adhere everything to the hessian and it worked perfectly! While waiting for the crepe paper to dry, I adhered these gorgeous little denim flowers to each piece along with some Kaisercraft die-cuts and paper. (and forgot to take a photo of this step!)
When the crepe paper was dry, I applied Helmar adhesive runner along one side and then folder it over and twisted it.
I then cut it up to make the letters on my banner which I adhered to the hessian using Helmar fabric glue.
I was trimming the edges of the hessian and it just kept fraying so I thought I would try the Helmar Fray Stoppa on it, I have never used this product but it works like magic, I put it around all the edges and it set beautifully and I don't have to worry about it falling apart!
