Hi Helmars fans and a Merry Christmas to you all. I hope your day is filled with plenty of cheer!
I love a product that can be used in more than one way. So I wanted to show you another idea on how I use the Helmars Decoupage.
I like to use the decouage to stiffen my twine so that i can create funky frame.
Materials: Helmars Decoupage, cotton twine, shimmerz, bowl, a glove.
Step 1: Add some colour to the cotton twine. Place some of twine in a bowl and spray with your desired colour of shimmerz. Using your hand that has the glove on roll the twine around the bowl to soak up all the shimmerz. This is great because you don't waste leftover color.
Step 2: Pour some Helmars Decoupage into the bowl. The amount of decoupage will depend on how much twine you are using. So be you own judge here. Again swipe and roll the colour twine around the bowl.
Here's how you twine will be looking - cool yeah!
Step 3: Now just wrap you funky coloured twine around your decoupage jar. Let it dry. Once dry have some fun with it and use it as an embellishment.

Some other samples of the twine being used. The black and white twine I prepare in the same way using a bowl and then just added it to my page, and just allowed it to dry where I had place it.
Another sample using the colour twine as a frame on a photo.
How I like to adhere my colour twine is I use Helmars 450 Quick Dry and just place a few drops on the twine. Then just place over the photo and allow to dry.
So there you have it. And I am sure you can think of a few more ways to use your twine now too.
Thanks and a Merry Christmas to you all once again!
