Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful week! I don't know about you, but I just am amazed at how fast this year has gone by! I can't believe it's December! Since there are only a few days of 2010 left, it got me to thinking...I need a new 2011 calendar to keep at my desk. Of course being a scrapper, I would much rather make my own than purchase one. So that is what I have done and would like to share with you today. I used a combination of some of my favorite Helmar Adhesives along with some products from our preferred vendors to make my calendar.
For this project, I used the following Helmar products: Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive, Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue, Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots, and the Helmar Adhesive Spreader.
I started out with a chipboard album from Maya Road. The album was just perfect for my calendar because it had 6 chipboard pages on the inside. I pulled some patterned papers and stickers from Fancy Pants Designs for the front and back of my album. I also used some flowers from Maya Road on the front of my album. I used the Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner to adhere all of my paper. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere my lace trim and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots for the flowers.
Aren't these flowers from Maya Road adorable? I just loved them. And the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots are just phenominal for adhering them to any project. It provides a secure hold and adds great dimension! Love it!
As you can see, the album is thick and very sturdy. I know this will last me all year long....all thanks to my Helmar!!!
When you open the inside of the album, I used some calendar die cuts from Elle's Studio. I am a huge fan of anything from Elle's Studio! These were no exception. I love the distressed feel they have to them. I used Helmar Professional Acid Free Glue to adhere these to the chipboard pages. I applied the glue to each of the chipboard pages and then spread it out evenly using the Helmar Adhesive Spreader. This was my first time using this tool and I must say, it is quite nifty! It helped me to spread the adhesive quickly and efficiently. Also, it was easily cleaned off with soap and water.
And the back of the album. I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere the ball fringe.
This project was so fun to make and I am ready to begin the new year!
Have a beautiful weekend and Happy Scrappin'!!!
