This is a project I made for CHA Winter 2011 for Maya Road but I also wanted to share it with you all. I love that the Helmar 450 Quick dry is so versatile!!!! I have used it to adhere, sheer flowers, chipboard and also zippers!!

The glue made it so easy to attach the zippers around the edge of the chipboard!

Happy Monday to you all. I hope your weekend was a wonderful one. I was blessed to spend my Saturday crafting here in my home with two of my sweetest girlfriends. Their just another one of the gifts that I received from starting this this hobby called "Scrapbooking"!
Speaking about blessings..... as a Design Team Member for Helmar USA I'm blessed to be able to work with so many fantastic preferred vendors. This card was created with a wide variety of them.
So my latest addiction is stamping on Canvas from Canvas Home Basics. For this card I took a piece of canvas and stamped it with a Unity Stamp Co. stamp from the Le Chic Vintage stamp set.
I cut the canvas piece down to size and then I inked the edged with some distressing ink. Once that was complete, I turned it over and use some Helmar Fray Stoppa to keep the canvas from fraying.
Here is a list of our Preferred vendors items used on this card as well as the Helmar USA product that I used for each of them.
I started with Core Impressions cardstock. This was applied to my card using the Helmar Quick-Fix adhesive runner.
Magistical Memories Chipboard-bird and arrow. These were applied to the card using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
Jenni Bowlin patterned paper. I used the Helmar Quick-Fix Adhesive runner to apply the paper to the cardstock.
Fancy Pants button. Applied with the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive
The Robins Nest dew drops. These were applied using the Helmar gemstone glue

I've been distracting myself from the fact that everyone is off at CHA having fun while I am home by doing a little scrapping. Like all my layouts I grabbed my Helmar tape runner for my background papers, then switched over to Helmar Zapdots, and Helmar 450 quick dry adhesive for the dimensional parts of my layout.
For something different, I popped my photo strip up on Helmar Zapdots for extra dimension. I fussy cut the flowers and layered them with Helmar Zapdots to bring them to life. Moulding the petals with a narrow tool is really important for creating the realistic shape. I used helmar 450 quick dry for the premade flower buds since it is nice and strong and dries fast to hold them up.
For the final finishing touch, I popped a tiny droplet of Helmar 450 quick dry glue to create a perfect little clear flower centre.

So raise your hand if you know that Helmar's V2 Vellum adhesive rocks! *Raising hand and waving frantically* Yep, love that stuff! See those glitter cuts on transparency that are on my layout. The absolute best way to adhere them is with the V2.
The rest of the layout was put together with Helmar 450 Quick Dry.

I've had this timber box sitting in my cupboard for ages, and finally decided to get out some pretty papers and my favourite Helmar products to create this little hair clip holder for my little princess.
Here are the supplies I used to create this project. I used Helmar acid free glue for the papers, and Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive for the embellishments. Helmar zapdots were used to create the dimension in the flowers.
I started by painting all the edges of the project that wont be covered by paper.
I measured each of the sides I wanted to cover with paper, and cut these first, to ensure they would fit perfectly, then adhered with Helmar Acid Free glue. I used my finger to spread the glue right to the edges.
I handcut the flowers from co-ordinating patterned papers. I layered them with Helmar Zapdots, then used Helmar 450 Quick dry adhesive. Being such a quick dry glue, I didn't have to hold the flowers on the vertical face waiting for it to dry, which made this a relatively quick project to complete.

Dont forget the inside of you project. There's no point making the outside pretty if the inside is left unfinished.

Hi there :) wow can you believe that we are almost at the end of January, BUSY day today with my oldest starting school. Where has that last 5.5 years gone. Huge change in our household thats for sure but she had a fantastic day and that's the main thing
Anyway a few weeks ago while I was playing around with my Art Journal I happened to accidently come across a fun technique using the FABULOUS Helmar Adhesives, (it's probably been done a million times before, but it's new to me) It all started with me spilling some glue across one of my pages, of course I didn't think much of it until I started inking and realised that they work as the PERFECT resist, just like Pink Paislee Papers. Of course I had to experiment with all the glues and see which worked the best. Some are water based and don't like sprays very much, others remain tacky, but there are two which just ROCK. I'll let the following photo show you
an upclose shot of the glues, the top section I've used Tattered Angels Glimmermist and the bottom section is Tim Holtz distress ink. Notice how the Premium Craft Glue and the 450 Quick Dry work the best with both??? It's because they are water resistant ;)
So with this in mind I created the following Art Journal page

In this video, I assemble an accordion album: cover the chipboard pieces for the front and back cover, use ribbon pieces to tie the album together. I explain why I use Helmar's Quick-fix adhesive runner to cover the chipboards. Then later I switch to the 450 Quick Dry to put the pages into the album. This album can be further decorated both inside and out. I plan to sell this at my work's annual United Way auction this coming October. Thank you for watching!
