Hi Ladies.
I have a cute little project to share today.
I Love creating things that are usable. I am not that big on creating without a purpose, especially for off the page items. This one was one which I knew I had a purpose for, so I created away with one of these Donna Downey (for Prima) canvas bags. I use it to hold my GPS in my car, and I could not have done it without Helmar.
I started with a blank canvas bag.
I stamped the leaf motif on calico fabric with green acrylic paint then stitched around the exterior of the stamp image for some texture and added detail, then I hand cut out all the branch and leaf images.
Next came the star of the show. Nothing which is to be used for everyday use, in and out of a handbag, can be a success without the quality and reliability of a good adhesive.
Enter Helmar Fabric Glue.....
I glued the leaf images on using my Helmar Fabric Glue. Perfect for canvas/calico and for an item which will be handled a lot.
I added the flowers and other little details which subtly decorated the bag. It is perfect for my GPS but would work just as well for a little camera, or even as a mini bag to hold your money, cards and lipstick when you go out!!!!
I use it all the time, and get lots of comments! You must admit.... its lovely to have something so pretty for such an everyday item, doing a pretty ordinary job!!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

I like the bag man. This looks great. I love the colors of your bag, so fresh. What great bags... I love how they were considerate enough to put things in the bags that their guests would need at the parks!
