Hi everyone~I am so excited to finally share a project that I have been working on. I have photographed it a million ways and decided to go with the first photos~I know, crazy!!!! So here we go~ My Summertime Wreath~
I started this project wanting to make something pretty but vintage looking for my studio door. The three chipboard house are no name~ I had them in my stash! I covered one with old dictionary paper, one I painted using Jenni Bowlin's {stick candy green} by Ranger and the third one, I covered in old music paper.
I then used Helmar's Crackle medium~which is awesome on two of them. When they were dry I antiqued with Claudine Hellmuth's brown paint {thinned it out} and ***fantastic*** lines!!!
This is a close up of the button house. It was covered with old dictionary paper and then I used Helmar's acrylic sealer to glue the buttons onto the chipboard house. Then a covered the house with the acrylic sealer. I added the word family with Cosmo Cricket mini letters.
Here is another view of the wreath~the flowers are by Maya Road and did you notice the zipper flowers~I used Glubers by Cosmo Cricket and the help of Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to make those cutie's!!! The rest of the vintage goodness on the wreath do have some stories but that will be for another time. I hope this inspires you to get your glue on and also to join us for July's Challenge.
and before I say see ya later~hanging on my studio door. If I have left something out that you would like to know about, put your question in the comments and I will be happy to answer you. Have a wonderful day!! by: Connie Mercer /Helmar DT
