I know that the majority of you will understand what it means to dig into your stash...and I know that the majority of you have a stash that could last you years if you never bought another thing....except Helmar Adhesives, lol!!! I cleaned my disaster of a scrap studio a few days ago and although it took me on and off all day it was so refreshing!!! I dont really have any assignments or deadlines at the moment so I was free to create whatever and I decided it would be from stash :)
I found this great little box...I believe it is Cosmo Cricket and since it was black I looked for something bold to compliment it and landed on these great old American Crafts papers! When working with something like this where you want to cover the surface with paper I have found that the best adhesive is the Helmar Acid Free Glue...it goes on smooth and doesnt wrinkle the paper!
a cute little flower made from pleated circles was the perfect touch for the top and the perfect adhesive? Why it's Helmar Liquid ScrapDots!!! The Helmar 450 Quick Dry is also perfect to add to chipboard alpha's to make sure they arent going anywhere, especially with an altered item that will get lots of handling....just a dot on each letter will do it :) I added some clear Dew Drops to some of the circles in the graphic of the paper and my Helmar Gemstone glue was a perfect choice.
While I was looking for the papers for the box I came across two sheets of paper, also from American Crafts, that I just loved the color combo of them together so I decided to make a layout......the orange/peach and turquoise combo is awesome when you add a little white so I looked for a photo that had white as its main color and came up with this:
My Helmar Adhesive Runner was the perfect choice for the majority of this layout!! My dimensional scallopped border was created with circles that I punched with my circle punch, folded in half and one half adhered with the Adhesive Runner. The ribbon, paper, photo and accents were all adhered with the Adhesive runner as well. I did pop up the photo with my Helmar ZapDots :) Again a little dot of the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to each of the alphabet letters and the stars assure me that they will stay put.
The 450 also worked great with the little foam pieces!!!
And again I am reminded that Helmar has a glue for anything you can come up with :)
Thanks for visiting and I hope that I have inspired you to use your stash...along with your Helmar Adhesives :)
