Hi there..... Me again today with a LO to share, using my favourite HELMAR glues and adhesives of course.
With this page I was gluing lots of cotton based items (doilies) which require something good and strong, which is not going to soak right into the 'fabric', often preventing it from sticking well. The Favourite of many, Helmar 450 Quickdry is THE perfect glue for this.
Most of you have probably already found this stuff....But if you have not gotten yourself some yet, you are going to need some. This is incredible glue. Most wet glues will be just that.....'wet' and they will soak into your paper after a while, even when drying and make your paper warped or crinkled and you can sometimes see where it is applied. Not Helmar 450 Quickdry! This is a wet glue, although more like a gel type substance which if you get on your hands just rubs off like rubber. But THE most amazing thing, is that it doesnt warp your paper or photographs AT ALL. It dries clear. It glues fabric and things like my LO below-doilies......It glues cardboard or anything thicker than paper and is super strong. I have even glued in the inner soles of my shoes when they were coming unstuck. Perfect.
So without going on too long about this amazing product .....Here is my page.
It is one I did using lots of Shimmerz Paints a little while ago.
You can see the number of doilies glued on this page, and you don't need much glue and it holds perfectly! The doilies are glued to the paper and the buttons are glued to the doiley, and they are on there good! I have also glued on the chipboard alphas ( I always reinforce sticky backed letters as they always come off after some time if you dont.) Helmar 450 or Super Tac is perfect for this job. The frames and other chip elements are glued with 450 Quick dry as well.....as are the journaling strips atop the doiley. All in all 450 is an amazing all rounder! It is perfect for craft items and scrapbooking, cards and any papercrafting projects.
The Photo is lifted a little with Helmar Zap dots in black, with a good strong bond, with just enough height to raise it to be more of a feature amongst all the other 'dimensional' items.
Hope you will try some 450, if you have not already.....You certainly will NOT be dissappointed!!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
