Heellloooooooo!!!! I'm back. (-: Now, first things first. I've had several requests to do a tutorial on my accordian and heart flowers. And because I am so nice (Ha! Ha! Ha!), and because you all asked so nicely, I will do the accordian flower tutorial for you next week. The heart flower will follow the week after. So I expect you all back here on Tuesday for your lessons. Right? (-:
Today, I'm going to show you how I pushed myself out of my comfort zone (I often do this when I am either bored, or stressed, lol!). I'm not a huge card maker at the best of times, but to do a white on white card, I thought might be asking the impossible of myself. Firstly, I'm used to using bright colours, and secondly, glue mishaps show up on everything when it is white. You can't hide it. Or can you? Yes, that is where Helmar is a life-saver for me. You can't see my mistakes on the card.
I've embossed the card for texture, and added a flower, a photo corner, ribbon, bloomers, and pearls, for decoration. But because I used my Helmar 450 Quick Dry, and my Helmar Permanent Adhesive Runner (on the back of the bloomers), you can't see any glue marks. And there are no cloudy marks on the pearls either. That's because I used the Helmar Gemstone Glue to make sure they were adequately adhered to the bloomers.
That white glittery photo corner, in the top left corner of the card, was originally dark green. I simply painted it with gesso, added some Helmar Craft Glue, and sprinkled lots of white glitter over it. Once it was dry, I adhered it to the card with my Helmar Permanent Adhesive Runner. Although, I'm fairly certain the Helmar 450 Quick Dry would also do a great job. And last, but not least, I used my Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to adhere that beautiful, big, white feathery flower from Prima. Isn't it divine?
Here's a run down of everything I used:

Wow, who knew you could use so many different Helmar glues on one card? So, the next time you are bored (or stressed), I dare you to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Who knows how you might amaze yourself? (-:
Thank-you for stopping by, and I'll see you all back here on Tuesday for you flower lessons, lol!!! (-:
