Hello Helmar Fans! Ready for some more inexpensive ways to decorate with a Dollar or two and some wonderful glue? This was a fun project and so easy to do!
Supplies:
- Helmar Gemstone Glue (this was my glue of choice because it works well on glass beads and we are working with glass bottles here)
- 3 - (or more, I like to group with odd numbers) Vinegar bottles from ... you guessed it the $1 store!
- 1 - sheet of cardstock (cream or off white)
- Adirondack Alcohol Ink by Ranger ( I used the color "Latte")
- Sponge
- Ranger Vintage photo ink pad
The photo below shows each step we will take. From left to right.
Step 1:
Measure the "vinegar" image and create three labels on your computer just slightly larger then the measurements (about 1/8" each direction). Print labels on cardstock and cut out. The labels I used where "Bat Bile", "Dragon's Blood" and "Liquified Brain"
Step 2:
Distress the Labels around the edges with a distressing tool or other method.
Use your sponge to rub the Adirondack Alcohol Ink all over the metal and glass parts of the bottle. It wont take long to dry. Repeat until you have the desired darkness.
Step 3:
Distress the labels even more with the ink pad and possibly some mists.
Using Helmar's Gemstone Glue adhere the labels to the bottles.
Display on a tray or other spooky place around your house or party.
I hope you have enjoyed this quick and inexpensive way to creat your own spooky Halloween decor.
Have a Happy Helmar Halloween!
