Today is the day before the last day of 2011...I'm sure everyone is busy getting ready to ring in the new year. I'd like to leave you with some color....
I have fallen in love with HELMAR Professional Acid Free Glue...did you know it was originally made for book binding? I wanted to see if it REALLY worked so I misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist one of my favorite MISTABLE papers from Pink Paislee and then proceeded to glue it to a 12X12 canvas. I applied the HELMAR Professional Acid Free Glue with a foam brush making sure to spread an even layer of the glue. After positioning the paper I brayered the paper to canvas. I had to wait overnight to see the magic work but it was so worth it...perfect, no bubbles, no wrinkles and I was please as punched that it now looked like 1 canvas instead of 2 separate pieces.
Now that it was dry my next step was to adhere all these lovely Prima flowers. Out came the HELMAR 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to finish this step. Knowing that this would create a permanent adhere I quickly set to work to apply the flowers and the GLITTER alphabet.
Here is the finished canvas...it definitely colors my world!
Colors used: Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Marmalade, Sun Sisters, Key Lime Pie, Ripe Tide, Bahama Blue, Autummn Nights & Pop Rocks Glimmer Mist. Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in Tomatoe Cerise, Alaskan Salmon & Teal High Heel.
It's hard to believe that 2011 is almost on it's way out. Wishes to everyone for a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR...here's to 2012!
