I don't know about you, but Spring has been slow to start in my neck of the woods. Flowers are just starting to pop out! I wanted a home decor piece that would brighten my house. I created this "terrarium" using all paper and Prima flowers along with Helmar 450 Quickdry, Gemstone glue, and ZapDots.
I had an extra glass cake stand with dome that I used for this project. I used a metal lid as the base to glue the outside layer onto. I covered the metal lid rim with paper and felt ribbon and used the Helmar 450 Quickdry adhesive to ensure good contact. I then used my die cutter to cut foliage from patterned papers and added a small paper mache lid and plastic cup in the center.
I covered them with the die cut leaves and flowers with the ZapDots to have some pop out in the between spaces. I glued flowers and paper leaves from Prima to fill spaces.
Using Helmar Gemstone Glue, I adhered gems and pearls to centers of flowers and throughout the terrarium. This glue does not dull the gems at all!
I added flowers and ribbon to the lid and the 450 Quickdry held on to the glass perfectly! This beauty is a burst of color on an otherwise rainy and grey day! When you live in Central New York, you have lots of grey days... I need all the color I can get!
Happy Spring! Take time to smell the flowers (even if they are paper...LOL!).

Well, I'm sure that you guessed by the title of this post that I have not reapplied for the Helmar Design Team. It was a really difficult decision. I really like, respect and admire the other women on this team, and I think that our Design Team Leader, Cheryl Boglioli, does an amazing job for the company. I especially admire the women who do the UStream videos, that is NOT an easy job and I don't know if I could do it as well as our Education Team does. Frankly, every time I create a video, I usually have at least 3 tries at recording it before I'm somewhat comfortable with posting it online.
The product, it goes without saying, is fantastic; and I will certainly miss those boxes on my doorstep! For now, this is the right decision for me. I hope that it's not forever... it's just 'see you later'. So, thank you for taking me in for the past year, Helmar. I will continue to follow the blog. I'm looking forward to seeing who is returning to the team and to see who the new members will be.
Now that the hard part is out of the way. What do you share for your last post with a company that every single project you create includes? That was a tough one! So, I will share 2 projects. :)
This first project, I created with the Lucky You Kit from Paper Issues. If you visit my blog, you may find a 20% off discount code for the Paper Issues store on the right sidebar. ;)
I used lots of Helmar Products on this layout. I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to adhere all of the papers to the page, 450 Quick Dry to adhere the twine to the page in some strategic spost and to secure the chipboard that I had destroyed the adhesive on the back from playing with it too much. I also used Helmar Zap Dots to pop the camera off of the page.
Here's a close up.
Next, I want to share this card with you. When I look at the title, I keep thinking to myself, "Smile because it happened, don't be sad because it's over.".
I created this card with Premium Craft Glue and a big glob of 45o Quick Dry. There was no way that bow was going to stay on the card without 450! LOL! The kit is from Artful Delight.
Here's a close up.
Thanks for reading this incribily long post! If you made it this far, you deserve an award. ;) All the best to each of you, Helmar fans, friends and fellow design team members.

Hello Helmar fans! Liz here today making my last official post being on this amazing team. I TRULY love this company's products, it is the best adhesive out there and I will use no other.
I made a few layouts using my favorite products, Helmar Acid Free glue glue and Helmar Zapdots.
I used a black gel pen to outline and doodle, which gave my page a fun, whimsical look.
Like many of you, Spring took its time showing it's face here in VA. It was a cold Easter weekend for us.
Thanks for stopping by today!Posted on April 19, 2013 at 04:04 AM in Creative Team | Permalink | Comments (2) | TrackBack (0)

I was recently asked to host a workshop at a local art gallery, to help others create bra art for a local auction coming up in June. With the proceeds going to a local caner foundation. With the beauty and strength I have seen women in my life shine through these types of ordeals I knew I had to participate.
Step #1: Stiffen cups of bra with Helmar Fabric Stiffener & Draping Liquid by brushing it on thickly. Allow to Dry (you may skip this step if the bra you have chosen is extremely padded with an under wire) TIP: this method works better on larger cup sizes.
Step #2: Strip all book spines from chosen books with an exacto knife. Remove as much of the cardboard backing inside the spine to make it as flexible as possible.
Step #3: Using Helmar Premium Craft Glue, glue the spines over the cups of the bra. They will slightly overlap near the under wire due to the curvature of the cup. Allow to dry. TIP: clothes pins help hold them in place for a few min till the glue dries.
Step #4: Add embellishments! Adhered with Helmar Premium Craft Glue I used black lace, paper and fabric flowers, eyelash yarn and folded pieces of book pages punched with an edge punch. Using Helmar Gemstone Glue I adhered the pearls, and gemstone flowers.
Thank you all for your time visiting Helmar's blog. Don't forget we have a montly contest this month's can be found here : Helmar April Challenge- "Days-of-the-week"
Hope you have a Helmar-ific week!

Beck here again and I’ve been getting crafty with my Helmar Craft glue and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to create some cute projects.
The first is an Easel Card I created for a little girl’s birthday. The Helmar Craft Glue made putting this card together really easy adding layers of paper embellishments. I also used some Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to pop out some of them for a little extra impact.
The next is another card I used while having a bit of a play with my copics. I am still learning in a big way with those, but my all important Helmar really helped showcase the little fairy image by adding some Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots behind her and playing around with just the right amount of height. My Helmar Liquid scrap dots also made the flower arranging a breeze as you can play around with them a little before it cures.
The last of my projects today is a letter that I decided to pretty up with some glittler washi tape and paper embellishments. My Helmar Craft glue made putting this together so quick and easy it wasn’t funny, and I know the special little girl that got this will just love it in her room as she gets a little older.
I really hope you enjoyed my share today and getting all girly on this one.
Happy Creating,
Helmar Design Team

Hi Friends! It is Lisa back with you today to share a step by step on how to make a covered wagon using 450 Quick Dry and some basic craft supplies. I really enjoyed making these for our book study "Warm As Wool" by Scott Russell Sanders.
Step One:
Using the craft sticks with slots, build a "bed" for your wagon. We used three sticks, fitted together, all the way around.
Step Two: Using the popsicle sticks create a frame, gluing the sticks together with 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
Step Three: When you have your frame done and it has dried, you can add sticks all the way across to create a base. Add 450 Quick Dry and apply the base to your "bed" you created.
Step Four: Add four popsicle sticks for support and stability for your "canvas".
Step Five: Add a "canvas" cover for your wagon, using the brown paper. You will need to fold in each side a bit for size and stability. Use the 450 to apply the paper to the craft sticks and clothes pins to hold the pieces together while the glue dries.
Step Six: While these are drying we added the "wheels". I precut four circles from heavy cardstock and cut holes in the center to slip in popsicle sticks into each "wheel". Then, I glued two sticks together to make then the right fit for under our wagon.
Step Seven: Lastly, I attatched the wheels to our wagon with a bit more 450 Quick Dry.
Supplies:
Craft and Popsicle sticks
clothes pins
brown paper
four cardboard circles
450 Quick Dry Adhesive

We had a wonderful response to our 2013 Helmar Design Team Call by many super talented, creative designers. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who sent in an application. It was a really hard decision as we narrowed down the applicants and hope you will apply again in the future.
We truly appreciate our Helmar Fans and hope that 2013 will bring you much inspiration with our Design Team and our Education Team. We will re-introduce you to the entire team and share a little more from each after May 1st.
Without further delay, we’d like to announce our 2013 Helmar Design Team. We hope you will welcome them as well and visit their blogs to see their amazing works.
