Faber-Castell Gelatos with Helmar Crackle Medium - for the win!

Hello Helmar Fans! JJ here, with a layout to share with you - featuring Faber-Castell Gelatos, and Helmar Crackle Medium.

I started off my page with a gessoed background (I stamped texture into the gesso before it was dry - that's the grid marks you see) and added Faber-Castell Gelatos in multiple shades of blue.  I blended the shades with  my fingers - the Gelatos are creamy, and move nicely on gesso.

Then I applied Helmar 2-step Crackle Medium.  Step 1 (applied with a soft brush) sets in about 20 minutes, then you apply Step 2 and let it dry overnight.  When you wake up in the morning and rush to your scrap table, you are greeted with lovely cracks like these:

My project was mostly tone-on-tone, and I wanted the cracks to stand out more, so I rubbed more Gelatos into the cracks:

I added a few 'paw print' stamps, using Faber-Castell Big Brush Stamper markers.

Then I glued on strips of fabric, using Helmar Fabric Glue...

and added my photos and embellishments with 450 Quick Dry.  Then finished off by journaling with Faber Castell PITT Artist pens.
