Well, I'm sure that you guessed by the title of this post that I have not reapplied for the Helmar Design Team. It was a really difficult decision. I really like, respect and admire the other women on this team, and I think that our Design Team Leader, Cheryl Boglioli, does an amazing job for the company. I especially admire the women who do the UStream videos, that is NOT an easy job and I don't know if I could do it as well as our Education Team does. Frankly, every time I create a video, I usually have at least 3 tries at recording it before I'm somewhat comfortable with posting it online.
The product, it goes without saying, is fantastic; and I will certainly miss those boxes on my doorstep! For now, this is the right decision for me. I hope that it's not forever... it's just 'see you later'. So, thank you for taking me in for the past year, Helmar. I will continue to follow the blog. I'm looking forward to seeing who is returning to the team and to see who the new members will be.
Now that the hard part is out of the way. What do you share for your last post with a company that every single project you create includes? That was a tough one! So, I will share 2 projects. :)
This first project, I created with the Lucky You Kit from Paper Issues. If you visit my blog, you may find a 20% off discount code for the Paper Issues store on the right sidebar. ;)
I used lots of Helmar Products on this layout. I used Helmar Premium Craft Glue to adhere all of the papers to the page, 450 Quick Dry to adhere the twine to the page in some strategic spost and to secure the chipboard that I had destroyed the adhesive on the back from playing with it too much. I also used Helmar Zap Dots to pop the camera off of the page.
Here's a close up.
Next, I want to share this card with you. When I look at the title, I keep thinking to myself, "Smile because it happened, don't be sad because it's over.".
I created this card with Premium Craft Glue and a big glob of 45o Quick Dry. There was no way that bow was going to stay on the card without 450! LOL! The kit is from Artful Delight.
Here's a close up.
Thanks for reading this incribily long post! If you made it this far, you deserve an award. ;) All the best to each of you, Helmar fans, friends and fellow design team members.
