Ok so now onto some more fun stuff!
The beginning of the month means a new Challenge! Mays Challenge is celebrating the special ladies in our lives. Its Mothers Day very soon and I thought we could share some ideas for Mothers Day here on the Helmar Blog. Being a Mother is a great gift and our own Mothers/Grandmothers are treasured. Celebrate the special Mum in your life. It might be your own Mum or Grandma, or it might be your partners, or it might be a special person who is just like a second Mum to you. It might just be a celebration of you as a Mum- YES you fit into this as well.
Some interesting Mothers Day Facts.....some to warm the heart, some to boggle the mind!

Highest Recorded Number of Children
The highest officially recorded number of children born to one mother is 69, to the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782) of Shuya, Russia. Between 1725 and 1765, in a total of 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets, and four sets of quadruplets. 67 of them survived infancy.
The modern world record for giving birth is held by Leontina Albina from San Antonio, Chile. Leontina claims to be the mother of64 children, of which only 55 of them are documented.
Most Surviving Children
Bobbie McCaughey is the mother who holds the record for the most surviving children from a single birth. She gave birth to the first set of surviving septuplets - four boys and three girls -on November 19, 1997, at the University Hospital, Iowa, US. Conceived by in vitro fertilization, the babies were delivered after 31 weeks by cesarean in the space of 16 minutes. The babies are named Kenneth, Nathaniel, Brandon, Joel, Kelsey, Natalie and Alexis.
Longest Interval Between Two Children
Elizabeth Ann Buttle is the mother who holds the record for the longest interval between the birth of two children. She gave birth to Belinda on May 19,1956 and Joseph on November 20, 1997. The babies were born 41 years 185 days apart. The mother was 60 years old when her son Joseph was born.
Shortest Interval Between Two Children
Jayne Bleackley is the mother who holds the record for the shortest interval between two children born in separate confinements. She gave birth to Joseph Robert on September 3, 1999, and Annie Jessica Joyce on March 30, 2000. The babies were born 208 days apart.
Interesting information huh?
A Mothers Day project....
Have you decided what you are going to do for the Mum in your life this Mothers Day? You might be planning on making something, or at the very least creating a special card just for her.
We hope you will submit your ideas this month.
My Project this month is a cute and feminine Decorated Gift Bag. It can hold any small gift or keepsake and be kept to treasure.
and a quick pictorial 'How to' of how I did it.....
and a simple little decorated doily glued to the inside of a regular clothes pin.
So all you have to do is create something for the 'Mum' in your life. It can be a card, a Layout, a canvas or altered project....anything you can dream up. (But it must use Helmar Glue and you must tell us in your post what Helmar Glue you used!) Upload it to your Blog or your Facebook Page or Gallery and copy the post link, come back here and load it with the Inlinkz tool here in our sidebar. Dont worry its easy. AND you will be in the running for a Helmar voucher! COOL!
We are looking forward to your ideas and creations this month!
Be sure to pop back through out the month to see what our Designers do with the Challenge, and visit the new links in the sidebar to see what other people are creating using Helmar all over the world!
Thanks for playing along .
