Hello creative souls...today I'm sharing two projects created with a mixed media kit from Gauche Alchemy. Their motto..Enabling Artists since 2008...don't you just love anyone who enables us to create great ART, all made easier with HELMAR!
"Shaken Not Stirred" is the kit I received and it was filled with so much goodness I had a hard time choosing what to create with...what a dilemna! I finally narrowed it down to creating an invitation to a cocktail party and a cocktail menu plaque to be displayed. Of course since I was working with mostly paper I grabbed HELMAR Acid Free Glue...my go-to adhesive for paper to paper applications.
For the invitaion I used Helmar Acid Free Glue to create the card and the mini Cheers sign was attached with HELMAR Black Zap Dots. All the Fab Scrap Chipboard Martini Glasses were first sprayed with Art Anthology Colorations Spray in Focus and then once dry covered with a heavy coat of Art Anthology Gelate - Dimensional Gel Paint in Linen. I loved how the chipboard glasses turned out. Using the included bling, from Me & My Big Ideas, added the finishing touches to the glasses. On the invitation I utilized Helmar 450 Quick Dry glue to attach the glass and the bubbles.
For the menu plaque I attached both papers to the cover of a mini album included in the kit with Helmar Acid Free Glue. I created a label and attached the cocktail menu to it securing it to the plaque with Helmar Black Zap Dots. The background martini glass was adhered with Helmar 450 Quick Dry and the other glasses were attached with Helmar Zap Dots to create height.
The amount of supplies included in this Gauche Alchemy kit will allow me to make SEVERAL more projects. I love working with mixed media kits but it stems from the fact that I have found that Helmar products fit all my adhesive needs...my one and only go to products!
Thanks for stopping by this week and looking at all the different projects...thank you Gauche Alchemy for sponsoring these projects.
