The Crystal Kote Fixative is a workable matt finish which can be worked over any medium. Our design team tells us they LOVE this when playing with pastels, especially PanPastel as it prevents smudging. The Crystal Kote Fixative will not alter or affect the surface of your work and does not buckle your papers.
Our Helmar Crystal Kote varnishes come in two finishes – matte and gloss. Both are clear varnishes that will give your drawings, artwork, mixed media canvases, photographs, and more a protected finish that will prevent your works from tarnishing or yellowing. All Helmar products are Acid Free and Archival Safe!
Our team loves these sprays and fixatives because they dry fast, provide an even coverage, and have a much lower odor than competing sprays and fixatives. Even though they have a low order, all varnishes and fixatives should be sprayed with a light event coat outdoors with adequate ventilation.
