This is my fourth year in documenting december in an album. By far this has become one of my favorite projects of the year. I try and get my album put together the end of October/first part of November. This lets me have a little time to put everything together and allows me to get excited for the upcoming holiday season.
I chose a 6x8 cloth album this year. I love the wood grain fabric, but decided to add some elements to jazz it up a bit. I chose a cut file from Kerri Bradford for the main elements and cut them out with my Silhouette from foil paper, glitter cardstock, and pattern paper.
To adhere my pattern paper to my album cover I first marked with a few pencil lines where I would be placing the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste.
I "painted" the area in and no I didn't use that little brush the whole time. After I took the photo I finally found where I had placed my foam brushes. ;)
I then laid my pattern paper strip over the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste. Smoothing the whole thing down as I went.
Once it was thoughly dry I went back over the top with more Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste to seal everything in well.
It will take longer to dry, but I applied a nice generous layer.
Once dry I added some glitter ribbon to each side of the pattern paper title and added cut outs using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
Here is my finished album cover. I love how it all came together and excited to start using it in less than a month. I can't believe how fast the holiday season is coming!
Does anyone else document December each year? If you do be sure to share your album and feel free to stop by my blog during the month to see my progress.
Happy Crafting!

It turned out beautifully! Last year I started a digital December Daily album, maybe this year I'll pick up where I left off ;-)

Great album cover, I love the idea of documenting your month. Helmar does make it easier to create!
