Hello and happy almost-Thanksgiving to our U.S. readers!
Between Halloween and Christmas, Thanksgiving gets a bit of the short shrift when it comes to decorations. But we have a console table in our hallway that, if left unadorned, becomes the landing zone for mail, shopping bags, and anything else attracted to clean, flat surfaces. So this year the console table gets its own centerpiece for Thanksgiving.
I started with a couple pieces of styrofoam left over from some bookcases we ordered (yay, upcycling!) and fused them together with Helmar Foam Glue.
Because this glue takes a little time to bond the bits of foam together (1 hour to hold, 24 hours to cure) the bottle suggests stabilizing with toothpicks until it sets. This was a great idea, since it let me move onto wrapping the entire structure with burlap ribbon without waiting for everything to set. And with a bulky ribbon like burlap, I found it helpful to apply a layer of the Foam Glue, add the burlap, and then spread around another layer of glue over the burlap to help it all meld together. Then I left it for the night.
Once everything was set, I started adding the autumn sprays and elements I'd put together. The items on picks slid right in through the burlap and layers of foam and then I attached the free elements with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive .
It was coming together, but it needed a few more touches.
I gathered two scraps of lace and a bit of woodgrain punchinella into a half-rosette and attached it to the front of the mini farm stand I'd created. Some tri-colored fiber finished the front off nicely.
Finally, what market would be complete without some sort of signate, right? This one is made out of ouchless cardboard and decorated with some stickers and washi tape.
I have so much that I'm thankful for, this little decoration serves to remind me to concentrate on that over anything else.
Wishing you creative days,

Thanksgiving Day, as celebrated in North America, is a time to gather with family and friends to give thanks for the many blessings that we enjoy. But every day we should ponder and consider the many things that we should be grateful for, not just during Thanksgiving. It's nice to have a little journal handy and record an attitude of gratitude.
To begin with, I cut out from a magazine an image to adhere to the front of my journal cover. I used Helmar Decopauge and Craft Paste which is just fabulous. It doesn't wrinkle the thin magazine image nor leave any sticky residue on top after it dries.
Then I added some heavy twine to the side using my Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive. A tip for adding strings and twines is to let the glue become tacky before adding the twine, that way it grabs hold faster and stays put while you are playing with it.
And a great little poem to add in your journal as a daily reminder:
Be Thankful
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire,
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something
For it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations
Because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge
Because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary
Because it means you’ve made a difference.
It is easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are
also thankful for the setbacks.
GRATITUDE can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles
and they can become your blessings.

Hey everyone, Katie here! Today my project is this art journal page I created inspired by Thanksgiving, which is coming up fast! I wanted to capture what I was thankful for right now, so I did that by documenting it on this page.
I started by using Helmar Decoupage paste to adhere some collage papers down onto my art journal pages. I used one of Helmar little spreading tools to spread the glue out onto the back of my paper.
To get the textured leaves on my page, I used Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA glue. I opened the cap just a little bit so not too much glue flowed out at once and used it like a pen, drawing my leaves onto my page.
I let that dry and then went over it with some spray mists. I just love the texture that the Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA glue gave to the leaves.
I glued on my letter stickers with Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive so that they would stick to the mixed media better and then I sprayed the pages with Helmar Crystal Kote Fixative Spray before adding my journaling.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy *early* Thanksgiving!

Hi, Veronica here today to share with you my latest layout using Helmar Glue. It's almost Thanksgiving so naturally I am thinking about what I am grateful for.
I am grateful for so many things in life. My family is first and foremost; and this layout reflects how happy I am to have my family in my life.
I am also very grateful that I am able to design for several fabulous manufacturers and do what makes me happy, one of which is Helmar. Today I want to feature Helmar's Acid Free Glue and their Zap Dots.
Helmar Acid Free Glue is great for layout and adhering paper for all your scrapbooking.
I like to scrapbook with layers so I LOVE the Helmar Zap Dots to give depth to my scrapbooking pages. Since I was layering my photos and had room I used the 1/2 inch square zap dots for my mats.
On the leaves that I added for an embellishments the space was smaller so I used the 1/4 inch square zap dots.
I finished my layout with some crystal dimensions and different 3D embellishments.
I hope you enjoyed my post today.
I wish you all happiness and a Happy Thanksgiving,

Hello there! Today I have a military themed LO to share with you, one that is near and dear to me. This is a shadowed photo of my son right after his graduation from the Naval Academy.
To start off the layout, I will first begin creating a multi layered mat using Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner . This will add a bit of dimension and interest to the photo used.
After my mat has been created, I moved on to add my background layers. After cutting the desired layers and figure out the placement, I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere each layer. I chose to use this liquid adhesive because it'll give me a moment to perfect my placement before adhering the layers.
Next, I adhered my photo mat using Zapdots Black Round 1/2" for depth and to add a bit of pop to my page.
After your photo mat has been placed, continue to embellish the layout with various items of your choice. NOTE: My metals were adhered using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
Have a Beautiful Week!

This is my fourth year in documenting december in an album. By far this has become one of my favorite projects of the year. I try and get my album put together the end of October/first part of November. This lets me have a little time to put everything together and allows me to get excited for the upcoming holiday season.
I chose a 6x8 cloth album this year. I love the wood grain fabric, but decided to add some elements to jazz it up a bit. I chose a cut file from Kerri Bradford for the main elements and cut them out with my Silhouette from foil paper, glitter cardstock, and pattern paper.
To adhere my pattern paper to my album cover I first marked with a few pencil lines where I would be placing the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste.
I "painted" the area in and no I didn't use that little brush the whole time. After I took the photo I finally found where I had placed my foam brushes. ;)
I then laid my pattern paper strip over the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste. Smoothing the whole thing down as I went.
Once it was thoughly dry I went back over the top with more Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste to seal everything in well.
It will take longer to dry, but I applied a nice generous layer.
Once dry I added some glitter ribbon to each side of the pattern paper title and added cut outs using Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive.
Here is my finished album cover. I love how it all came together and excited to start using it in less than a month. I can't believe how fast the holiday season is coming!
Does anyone else document December each year? If you do be sure to share your album and feel free to stop by my blog during the month to see my progress.
Happy Crafting!

Hi everyone, Sandee here with a gentle reminder that there are 42 days left til Christmas! I hope I didn't make anyone panic, lol But if you are like me, it takes time to get prepared so I have to start now!!
I am playing some Christmas music to get me in the mood and making some wildlife ornaments. Now if it would only snow I would be in heaven!
I loved adding the bling to the ornament cap for a little extra sparkle. Being frugal is important for me and being able to use gems that I can get on sale is a bonus. I take them apart and use my Helmar Gemstone Glue to adhere them on. A little bit goes a long way, but don't worry if you use too much, because it dries crystal clear and will not muddy up your stones or pearls!
I also add a tiny bit of Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to anchor down my bow and to hold the beads in place. That way everything stays put no matter how times it is handled!
Now to get my Christmas tree put up so I can hang my ornaments!
~Happy Holidays to everyone~

Hi Tamiko here ::waves:: . This post was hard for me.. How do you create something to give thanks or tribute to people who put their LIVES on the line for YOU and the rest of the United States, on a daily basis? I think of all the soldiers and the sacrifices they make to protect us. Some have left families, not just jobs, but careers, school and much much more. Not everyone who went away, came home! Many went and came home with their lives changed forever. I could go on and on about how thankful I am for men and women in the armed forces.. Right now.. You are here to see, what I created..
This is an open book card. For this project I chose to use the Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA Glue. My entire project was all paper.. I felt this product would be more than appropiate for the task!
Besides the glue, I used just basic cardstock, flowers, flourishes and butterflies from my stash. I used bookboard to dry emboss my pages and a few clamps. :)
After I dry embossed all my pages with my Bookatrix board I began to add the Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA Glue to the edges. It is very important that when you first apply, that you use a little pressure at first.
The glue adheres pretty fast. I clamped both edges of the outter pages, while I did other things.
I wrote on my center page- Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13 Soldiers do it everyday.. EVERY DAY!
Time to embellish! Adding just a drop or two of Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA Glue, to the backs of my flowers and butterflies. I am learning placement is important! I hear friends in the back of my mind going.. use odd numbers, create clusters with large flowers and trinkle away with smaller ones ::chuckles::.. I place even more flowers and more Helmar glue on the base of them.
Here is a few close ups..
and one more..
Anyway, that's it for me! Remember, November 11th is ONE DAY! Acknowledge our men and women in and out of uniform! Say thank you for your service, by saying thanks, shake a hand, offer a hug, buy some coffee, create a card, be a pen pal, volunteer!
Enjoy the rest of the week everyone! :)

Hi everyone Monica here with a post for Veterans Day and I know everyone may be looking at this like hm... ok not so much Veteran, but this is a card I made for my daughters friend who just got back to the US. I wanted to make her a card that said Celebrate and Enjoy your life and for her to be happy she is back home because so many people don't get to come home.
