Hey hey everyone, I hope you are reading this after an eventful holiday. We've just celebrated the Independence Day in the US over the weekend. ::smiles:: The days were filled with food, family and a little bit of creativity and I mean that literally. ::ha-ha:: I have created for you some ATCs. I began by up cycling an old pizza box. I never know what I am going to do with ATC . I personally prefer cutting my own base, from things around my house, and nine times out of ten I will cover it up anyway. Once I cut the corrugated cardboard to the right size. I began to doodle with my Helmar Acid Free Glue. I was trying out a new applicator pen I bought to use for glue or paint called the Fineliner. I filled with my Acid Free Helmar Glue because this specific glue is very fluid and I wanted it to flow through the needle almost like ink from a pen. It did very well! The fine tip was awesome for one of my favorite glues and you will see why shortly.
I took the glue and doodled on my bases.
I let the glue thoroughly dry, until it was completely clear.
I then took some of my favorite Design Memory Craft gelatos and added color to my cards. I decided that I needed some sheen, as I often do, so I rubbed some Deco Art Metallic Lustre on the raised portions (my NOW DRY glue doodles) of the card. Some of it even got on the flat portion, but I am more then fine with that. I added words and images from my stash, to my fabulously textured and shimmering backgrounds. I am happy with them. I did not mention it earlier, although my words were in fact stickers, with the slicker background I chose to reinforce them with my Helmar Premium Craft Glue. I could have continued to use the acid free, but I chose the clear premium craft glue because of slick and uneven base. I felt like the glue almost nestles between the uneven card and the sticker. I am sure it was the best choice. Here are a few individual pictures of the ATCs.
