Good morning everyone, Steph Ackerman here to share a beach canvas with you.
It's still hot here in New York. Summer is winding down and the kids are getting ready to return to school. But I love summer (except for the humidity) and I couldn't pass up one last glimpse of summer and all that it represents.
I began by white washing a canvas with Art Anthology paints to mimic the pattern paper I wanted to use.
Once dry, I used Helmar Super-Tac Glue to adhere the beachy pattern paper to the left edge of the canvas.
Helmar Super-Tac Glue dries quickly so be sure to work fast. It also dries clear and does not warp paper.
For dimension, I used Molding Paste through several Art Anthology Stencils in the corner and across the top of the canvas.
Next, squeeze Helmar Super-Tac Glue in the left corner of the canvas being sure to add some glue along the edges of the canvas.
Place mesh on top of the glue. Create sea shells using Makin's Clay molds and clay, then place them about the mesh. Using Helmar Super-Tac Glue assures the shells will remain in place on the canvas. A bit of shimmer was added to several of the shells.
Thanks for stopping by today.
