Hi Veronica here today and I have been decorating for Christmas. I am so happy to have my family with me this Christmas so I am really trying to make my home and guest rooms as festive as possible.
For my post today I made a door hanger to decorate the guest room door. I started with a wood plaque.
I prepared the wood by painting it white with acrylic paint. Then I laid a thick coat of gesso using one of my stencils
Next I found some snowflake paper I had in my winter box (I organize by theme); I also used some white cheese cloth as the "snowy" ground. I used my Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere the pieces down
I also used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to adhere my chipboard and my transparency embellishments.
I added a cute bell charm I had and a fluffy snowman
Next I wanted to add some micro beads in blue to my project to give a sparkle and also an illusion of snow. For that I used the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue . I like this glue when using beads or glitter because the glitter and beads embed in the thick white glue and I can layer more on top and just press down for extra thickness and coverage.
Next I went back to using the 450 Quick Dry for the crystals and bubble large beads I used for falling snow and that finishing touch
Thank you so much for stopping by today. You still have time to make this project for your home décor or as a cute gift for someone special. These little touches to your home will make you and your company happy.
