Yesterday was my grandnephew's 2nd birthday and his parents gave him an Under-the-sea party so you know I just had to come up with a coordinating card for him!
Today I thought I would share a couple of my tips for using Helmar Glue.
I am using Helmar Craft & Hobby Glue, i squeeze the glue line about a 1/8th of an inch away from the outter edge of the paper I am gluing down. Then I take my finger and spread the glue towards the edge, that way I don't get any bits of glue leaking out from the edge. It's a little messy but, I'm so use to it that it's second nature to me plus I usually wipe my finger off in the center of whatever I am adhering at the moment.
But, if you don't like getting glue on your fingers you can always use the tip of the bottle applicator to spread the glue around some. I usually do this on small embellishments. You will need to remember to wipe down the applicator tip after doing this to keep the opening from closing up, although if you do forget to do this and it dries up it's very easy to peel off the glue...just saying, I forget to wipe mine all the time.
Of course, the least messy way to adhere projects is with Helmar Quickfix Adhesive Runner or their selection of Zapdots. Here I am using the Helmar Zapdots ½" White Round by simply removing the protective side and sticking them in place. They also provide wonderful dimension too.
Whether you like to get messy or if you are a neatnik Helmar can totally satisfy all your needs!
grrrr what happened to my post? :) anyway I love the card.. it was indeed special for your nephew! Love the layers and color combinations!
