Greetings and salutations once again, creative friends! Jenn, here, with a back-to-basics card that embraces change and heralds a New Direction for Helmar in general.....
Sometimes it's good to take stock of our surroundings and what lies ahead of us. A little change (or a big one) every now and then helps us innovate, jump start our pathways into making new connections. And sometimes, a complete change of tack is required! In these matters it's best to just make the best of the situation and roll with the punches (or die cuts, as the case may be).
To make this card you'll need:
- Cardstock in various colors
- Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations Compass Blueprint Stamp & Die set
- Ink pads
- Embossing ink and powder
- Heat gun, paper trimmer, embossing folder, and die cutting machine
- Brads, eyelets, piercing tool, wire, and eyelet setter
Stamp, heat emboss, and die cut your compass image on various colors of cardstock along with your sentiment. Run your background paper through the machine with an embossing folder if you want additional texture for your card.
Stack the compass layers together, tilting the two-layer point slightly askew, and secure with a brad through all the layers.
Pierce holes through the sentiment and its mat along the inside edge of the sentiment frame and sew together with thin wire. Double back on some holes to keep things interesting, and tuck the ends of the wire behind the work.
Attach the wired sentiment to the bottom edge of the card front with a brad on either side.
Finally, secure the compass assemblage, its mat, and the embossed backing onto the card base with four eyelets.
I wish you all Creative Days and remember;
Don't be a fool when creating your projects; use a bit of Helmar to stick them together!
Happy April Fools from the Helmar Creative Team!
