Hi everyone, Sandee here with my last post for Helmar. It's been a fabulous 3 years on the team and I am going out with a bang!...OK, maybe a pop, lol
Here's what you need to make your own glitter bowl using Helmar Craft & Hobby PVA glue.
The first component is mixing up the glue and glitter mixture. I used too much glue! You need 1 part glue to 2 parts glitter so I recommend putting in the glitter first, at least that's what I would do the next time I make one.
And this is why I would cut back on the glue....it ran down the sides and ended up on the paper below. Good thing I covered my work surface first!
Now you have to let it dry overnight before popping the balloon...and the balloon comes off so easily from the sides of the bowl.
Next step for me since I used too much glue was removing the unwanted parts, and sure I could have cut it ( and I started to ) but, then I thought the uneven edges provided a more artistic effect. I found the dried glue to be easy enough to tear but the bowl is still malleable and strong.
Here are some different views of the glitter bowl, you can see it dried consistently with no bare spots. It was pretty awesome actually and a super fun project, one that the kiddo's would even enjoy making too!
As a plus from using too much glue, I had some sections left over so instead of wasting it I punched out some confetti and cut out some hearts that I could use as embellishments for future projects!
How pretty and sparkly your bowl is. Love the hearts from the leftovers that was clever. they will look fabulous in your future projects.

I'm not a big glitter person usually, but I sure do love that green! What a fun project!
Great way to use the excess edge pieces.
