Cathy Derouche
Hi, my name is Catherine, and I live in the great state of Maine, nestled in the beautiful western foothills. I am a married woman of 35 years to a wonderful husband with four grown sons and 6 wonderful grandchildren. I am a paper crafter and have been for 5 short years, although I have been a crafter most of my life. I love trying everything crafty at least once. I have crocheted, knitted, crafted with felt, wood, scrap pages, painting, embroidery and many, many more crafts. I think of all the creating I have done over the years, paper crafting is my favorite. I have made mini albums, tags, gift bags, boxes, cards, scrap pages, paper piecings, tear bear piecings, and shadow box frames. My husband has primary progressive M.S. and is wheelchair bound and needs care at home so I am retired to care for him and in my down time when I am not babysitting grandchildren crafting is my number one thing to do to relax.

Donna Lueders
Hello, my name is Donna Lueders. I am married to a wonderful man, have 3 beautiful (grown and on thier own) children and also 3 grandchildren. I love to craft. I started with cross stitch and went to making cards, from there I have ventured out into mixed media, watercolors, drawing and many other crafty things. I work full time but still find time to do the things I love which is crafting. I feel so lucky to be one of the chosen people to be on the Helmar Design Team. When I am off work and not doing anything, I often watch my grandchildren whom I have gotten into LOVING art and making things they always want to "craft" when they are at grandmas house (smile). I am also a designer for a paper making company and I love making things from not only the paper but the pulp also.

Heather McClelland
Hi! My name is Heather McClelland. I am a mother, wife, crafter, artist. I have two little boys, Jack and Ben who are 5 and 2. They keep me pretty busy most of the time. I also have the most wonderful husband ever, named Matt. He is the one who allows me to pursue my passions. He encourages and supports me while I accomplish my artistic goals. We live in a town called Paradise, California. It's a small town in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. Since I was a child, I have always been artistically inclined, but it wasn't till I got pregnant with my first son and made him some paintings for his room that I made arts and crafts part of my everyday life. Since then, I've done many different types of crafts, from quilting and card making, to embellishing both furniture and art journals. About four or five months ago I was ready for a new challenge and decided to start a blog so that I could not only show my work, but hopefully teach my styles and techniques to others. After joining the online world of crafting, I realized there were more opportunities for crafters like myself. And so I jumped at the chance of being part of this wonderful design team here at Helmar. I look forward to contributing to the team and to the readers my style of artistic craftiness.

Jean Marmo
HI! My name is Jean and I live just outside of Grand Rapids, MI. I have a twin sister and for the majority of our lives, I was the math and science one. I stayed far away from anything that involved art or being creative. Once I had children, I started scrapbooking. This was back in the days of colored cardstock and deco scissors. Two things last year brought me to where I am today. I unexpectedly lost my job and my second child was married. With both children grown and out of the house, there was only so much I could scrap. And yet, I had a room full of paper, stamps, ribbons etc. Last year I took an art class and am now using those supplies along with paints and pastes to create mixed media canvases, mini albums, and frames. Most days you will find me experimenting and learning and I look forward to having you join me on this journey. I am excited to be showcasing Helmar products!

Jennifer Vanderbeek
Hi, my name is Jennifer. I am a multi-passionate blogger and artist who believes in the power of creativity, cocktails, (parenthetical references) and having a good laugh (generally at my own expense). A creative dilettante (in the best possible sense of the word) and diy-er for life. I flit between 2-D, mixed media, and fiber arts, cycling through as needed to keep the inspiration fresh, the ideas clicking along and avoid the dreaded creative block! Most of all, I enjoy learning about new-to-me techniques, art-related or not and applying them in new ways. I create from my home studio, aka The Abyss, now in its 4th location in the back parlor of a Victorian home.

Martha Lucia Gomez
Martha Lucia Gomez. I was born in Colombia, but I live in Miami, USA. My first language is Spanish, which is why my blog is written in Spanish; but don’t worry, I have a translate button. I studied Social Communications and Journalism, but I've loved crafts forever. I used to work with metal jewelry, but one day I discovered stamps, ink and paper, and now it is my passion. I've realized that working with paper crafts is the best therapy. I live with my husband and our two daughters. I divide my time between my family, my work in a Public Relations Company and my passions: my blog and crafting on various design teams. I love to create cards, 3D's and alter different projects because I love to learn new techniques. I look forward to working on this Design Team and sharing my passion with all of you.

Shannon Green
I'm Shannon Green and I live in the Houston area with my husband Jayson and our grown daughter Taylor. I am a maker of stuff, a thinker upper of creative ideas, a slayer of inner critics, and an encourager of the meek. I've been making stuff on an almost daily basis for the past 25 years. The kind of stuff I make just depends on my mood and whatever fun materials I have on hand. I love to upcycle, repurpose, reuse, and scavenge for unusual objects and supplies to use in creative ways. I find joy and humor in the mundane experiences of everyday life. My goal in life is to answer the burning question that pervades every thought in my mind: "I wonder what would happen if..."

Veronica Johnson
Hi, my name is Veronica alias “Kitsnbitscraps”. I have been doing crafts since I can remember, my mom taught my sisters and I to knit, sew, cross stitch, embroidery and I was always coloring and sketching. I was raised in Southern California in a little town by the beach called Hermosa – then I was transferred to South Florida. I was introduced to scrapbooking by my new co-workers in Florida and that was 12 years ago. I have kept busy by teaching scrap book and stamping classes at scrapbook stores and conventions and love every minute of it. From the first time I walked into a scrapbook store I was hooked! I am definitely addicted to paper. I have a passion for creating and sharing my love of crafting, whether it’s cards, layouts, albums, altered and mixed media; I love doing it all. I also enjoy bringing new tidbits and techniques to inspire as many crafters as I can through color. If I had to name my style I would say “Shabby Whimsy” because I always start projects with lots of color then depending on my mood I will shabby it down with browns, texture and layers.
