Hi friends..Cathy here today posting for Helmar! Today's project is some Home Decor. I picked up a grapevine wreath and decided to make something for a door for either Memorial Day or the Fourth of July.
I decided to make my own paper flowers instead of getting store bought ones, so I opened up my Cricut and got to work!
I cut out a bunch of daisies in subtle different sizes so I could stagger them in layers to create a 3D effect.
I then cut 4 of the 12 by 2 inch strips of light gray card stock and scored every 1/2 inch which I mountain valley folded and made rosettes.
I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry Adhesive to hold the ends together.
I inked and shaped the flowers with Tim Holtz Distress inks and then glued together with Helmar Premium Craft Glue.
To give the rosette layers a little more dimension, I added Scrap Dots....it is like pop dots in a tube! Such an awesome product..dries in the shape you put it!
You need to get some if you do not own it already!
Now to put it all together....not wanting to use a glue gun like I have done in the past as I always seem to burn my fingers!! So I used the Helmar 450 craft glue..amazing stuff! It takes a little longer to set, but holds amazingly..unofficially hot glue in a bottle! So if you want to save burning your hands too...make sure you get some of that when you get your Liquid Scrap Dots!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the Helmar craft project today and I hope it inspires you to get some Helmar Adhesives of your own!
Happy Crafting!!
Cathy
