Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a decorated canvas that I made using the theme: Fall and Coffee. I love to have and change my frames all year round and today I have a great idea to share with you. Take a look at my decorated fall canvas:
I made this using a 5"x7" Canvas Panel, a Stamp Set, Copic Markers, leaf die cuts and metal sheets and, of course, the fabulous Helmar products. For this project, I used Decoupage and Craft Paste, Helmar Palette, Craft & Hobby PVA Glue and Clear Zapdots. Let me show how I made my frame:
First, I cut a piece of decorated paper the same size of the canvas panel, 5"x7".
Then I applied a thin layer of Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste using the red palette.
I pasted the decorated paper over the canvas panel and applied a new thin layer of Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste and let it dry.
At this moment I decided to give more color to the texture created with the decoupage. For this I used a Leaf stencil and some Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels. I used the colors: Golden Orange, Dragonfly and Marmalade.
Over a piece of very vanilla card stock I stamped two images from the stamp set My Cup Runneth Over by Joy Clair using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images with Copic Markers.
I cut the panel of the stamped images and pasted them over the decorated canvas panel using Craft & Hobby PVA Glue.
To finalize the decoration, I cut two different leaves in Orange Metal Sheet using the Forest Leaves die cuts from Prima.
I inserted the canvas panel into the wooden frame and pasted the metal leaves using Clear Zapdots.
I got these frames and canvas in craft stores, they are very versatile and useful because you can change the motif according with the season.
I hope my project inspired you, and come back soon for more creative ideas using Helmar Products!
Thank you for stopping by!
