Do you have pets? If you do, I am sure you have plenty of treats for them on hand like I do. Yes, we spoil our pets LOL. We have an Australian Shephard and two cats one of which we inherited from our daughter when she moved away to college. The other is a story for another day..... I personally am not a cat lover but my daughter and two sons are and my husband is a lover of any kind of animal! And the reason I am not a cat lover is a story for another day also.
But.... anyway, today I have a cat treat dish that I am going to show you. I do not have pictues of making it, sorry. I made it when I made my Valentines Day tutorial. I wasn't sure how this would hold up with the glue I used so I didn't take pictures. Well, it held up just fine. So I will explain what I did.
I had an old candle holder just laying around not being used so I decided to use that as the base. I then went to our Dollar Tree and purchased a fish bowl type of dish. I also had a small bowl that I was going to use to make glass yard art but decided it would make a great lid for the treat holder. The top or lid is just an old perfume lid from an emply bottle I had. (Sounds like I am a hoarder of junk LOL).
I first painted the candle holder, glass bowl and the perfume top with craft paint, when they were dry I took Helmar's Silicone Adhesive Sealant and glued the fish bowl to the base of the candle holder and the perfume lid to the glass bowl. As simple as that. The Silicone Sealant worked great on this project and I now know what I will use in the furture on my yard art.
If you haven't already, check out all the great glues that Helmar has to offer. You will definately find what you need for any project you have in mind.
