Hello, I hope everyone is doing fine with all the crazy weather going on everywhere.
Today I am going to show how to take a picture frame and make it into a shadow box. So, lets get started.
I took apart an old picture frame I had laying around and took it apart. I then took some Helmar 450 Quick dry Adhesive and glued the glass part back into the frame. While that was drying, I cut chipboard pieces to the size of the inside of the frame and glued those down into place once again using Helmar 450 adhesive. When the glass part was dry I then painted the chipboard pieces black to match the frame.
On the back of the frame part that I removed, I glued a piece of paper down onto it using Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste. In my case, I cut apart a valentine bag I had.
When everything is dry it's time to put your items into our shadow box. I found this to be the hardest part LOL so many things to choose from.
I ended up using a heart pictue holder that you can put whatever picture of your choosing in. I wrote XOXO on the front with a white gel pen, added heart beads to the front of the shadowbox using the Helmar 450 (did I say how much I love this glue?? I works just like a hot glue gun, I LOVE it) and then added a few more things to the inside.
I then attached the back using velcro, that way you can change out the insides and the picture when you decide to change it up a bit. And that's it, you now have a shadow box made from a plain picture frame.
Check out all the glue and adhesives that Helmar has to offer here, believe me you won't be disappointed in any of their awesome products!
Thanks for stopping by and take care.
