Hello there, Lisa here today.
I'm so excited to be here for my first post for Helmar.
I recently joined the Helmar Creative Team & I am really looking forward to sharing a varying range of projects with you - using the amazing Helmar adhesives.
I am a Scrapbooker, journaller & I love to create Happy Mail. I also participate in paper craft swaps.
The Helmar products I have used are:
So today I am sharing something I have made for a swap.
This is called a loaded envelope. The swap brief was to make 3 Memorydex (rollerdex) cards to swap with your swap pal.
My swap pal & I set our theme & decided on Pink, Gold & floral.
So the envelope is filled with the handmade cards & lots of other goodies (keep reading - I'll show you).
So I started with the envelope, which I made using my WRMK Envelope punch board (love this). I constructed the envelope using the Helmar Craft Glue.
I have been a paper crafter for a long time & to be honest I have mostly used double sided tapes to adhere projects. So the last few weeks since I received my kit, I have had a great time sampling the glues to see what works with my projects. My current favourite is Helmar Craft Glue! I haven't stopped using this stuff! Would you believe I have barely used any double sided tape for about a month!
What I love about it...It's easy to apply (doesn't require much strength to get the glue out!) Weird comment I know, but I have weak hands & this is a huge plus! It goes on so smoothly, it dries quick enough whilst stilll being quite forgiving - meaning you have time for slight adjustments. It dries completely clear & wrinkle free!
Here are the Memorydex cards. I cut them out using a Heidi Swapp Die. As you can see lots of Pink, lots of Gold & floral.
Here are some close ups...I once again used the Helmar Craft Glue to assemble any flat pieces of standard paper.
I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry for the heavy duty jobs - like construction & attaching of the bow. Attaching the sequin trim, sequins.
For this card I additionally used the Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots to make the sweet little hearts, the sentiment tags & extra floral embellishment pieces to sit up ever so slightly.
So would you like to see what else I stuffed in the envelope?
Some decorated Project Life cards which have a little note to my pal, a sequin mix, some washi tape & a Tea bag.
I also made the tassel which you can see attached to the envelope. I made this with wool - just by wrapping it around some card. I used the Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the beaded trim & the jewel rhinestone so I know it will stay put!
I hope you have enjoyed my share today. if you have any questions just let me know.
