In 2000, we enjoyed a family vacation in Jamaica to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed the beaches, snorkeling and family dinners at wonderful restaurants. My daughter completed her Jamaican experience by getting her hair braided. It was a great look for her and perfect for the outdoor activities!
To complete this layout, I grabbed photos, tags, embellishments, beads, sequins and my favorite Helmar products -
450 Quick Dry, Super-Tac, Scrap Dots and Gemstone Glue.
After misting the background, I added the bottom border paper using 450 Quick Dry. The burlap was added using the Super-Tac. I worked with it to create hills and valleys. The Super-Tac allowed me time to do that. The Gemstone glue was perfect for adding sequins and tiny embellishments. Scrap Dots made sure the sun and clouds stay in place.
I created my tag cluster using Super-Tac and Scrap Dots. Here is a close up of it. I did not get a photo but I ended up giving the Seahorse and Starfish a light layer of Decoupage and then brushing them with Embossing powder and glass glitter.
I love the finished layout and hope you do too!
It is never too late to go back and scrap those older photos! Don't forget to visit Helmar on Facebook for more inspiration and to share your projects with us!
Wow Jean, this is beautiful!!! I am in awe of people that do scrapbook layouts because I just have no clue how to even begin.
