Hey, everyone! Susan here again to share a quick scrapbook page I made of our family visiting Disney World in Orlando, Florida. For this project, I pulled out my trusty Professional Acid Free Glue. I know this glue will hold my photos and pages together securely and safely. I've looked back at pages I made 15 years ago, and some of them had glue that just wasn't up to the task. The pages are falling apart, and I'm having to reassemble them as I come across them. It's so disappointing and frustrating! I know that in the future my Helmar glue will still be holding everything just the way it looks today!
I love how this page came together! No disney papers needed - I just used bright colors to play off the colors in the photo. I wanted to highlight the orange shirt, as the story is about my son wearing that color shirt. Donald holds a special spot in his heart! (and mine!) I used black pen lines to bring everything together. Outlining is a great way to get multiple patterned papers to pull together and coordinate well. It defines where the papers each end and gives your eyes a rest space. It's similar to inking the edges of your papers.
I slightly curled the ends of the pennants shown here for some visual depth. I only glued down the leading edges so those fishtail ends are still lifted up. The Professional Acid Free Glue also held all my wood embellishments and chipboard pieces perfectly!
More wooden embellishments and some flag pennants over on the left hand side. The liquid glue let me place things exactly how I wanted them and let me have a bit of wiggle time to get it just right. Quickly, the glue held fast and I have zero worries that this page will fall apart!
This is definitely a glue that will remain a primary player in my adhesive arsenal! It's a great all around glue that adheres with no warping of the papers and also dries clear on your pages (so you can't even see where I got a bit glue happy with some of the tiny stars!) I'm in love with this glue!
