Hi Everyone, it's Bridget here. Today I would like to share with you a technique I have only recently started using. I first used this technique on a scrap booking challenge and since then have used it many ways. I love how this technique gives movement and texture to your creation.
Here are some cards I created using the Fringe Technique.
What you will need:
Cards, or white card stock cut to size
Helmar Craft and Hobby PVA Glue
Helmar fabric glue
Fringe scissors/herb scissors
pattern paper
ribbons/twine/washi tape
embellishment
clear stickers/stamps
First step is to cut your patterned paper into 3 cm strips. Then using fringe scissors cut away. You can individually cut strips with normal scissors but by using Fringe scissors you get a more even, tidier cut. A tip is to not close your scissors all the way, as it will sometimes tear your paper.
Next apply Helmars craft and hobby glue to the edge of the strip.
Continue layering the strips until you get about 3/4 up the card.
Then on your last row, add some ribbon or twine using Helmars fabric glue. On this card I decided to add some heart paper strip I had. You can then add a clear sticker or stamp on a greeting to your card. Adding a embellishment to your card also help make your card stand out.
Here are the completed cards.
Thank you for stopping by. Happy crafting.
