My husband and I were poor college students when we got married in 1975. The wedding was in Western, PA. My grandmother in Michigan was ill and could not attend, so we decided to honeymoon in Niagara Falls and then travel through Canada to Michigan to visit her. Niagara Falls was, and still is, quite the honeymoon destination. Little did we know that a year later, my husband would take a job at Kodak in Rochester, NY and we would be able to visit Niagara Falls any time we wanted.
These photos were taken on our trip 42 years ago. If you have never been, the falls are breathtaking! Definitely a place everyone should visit.
Before I started my layout, I gathered my supplies including Helmar Scrap Dots, 450 Quick Dry and Acid Free Glue.
Each adhesive has a purpose. I like the 450 for adhering the doily and photos because it is safe for those. The 450 dries quickly so is wonderful for creating clusters. And the Scrap Dots allow me to add dimension such as to the words at the bottom of the layout. And I know that once secured, the items will stay there both now and later!
And, here is the layout again.
Thank you for joining me on this trip down memory lane! It is never too late to go back and scrap those old photos! Grab your Helmar and get started!
