Creating Embellishments

 
Did you ever want to complete a layout or card but don't have the exact embellishments? Today I am going to show you how easy it is to make your own flowers!

Grab some paper scraps, flower dies (I used Lori Whitlock Thinlits from Sizzix) and your favorite Helmar Adesive. I used 450 Quick Dry and ScrapDots. Let's get started!

 

Begin by cutting out each of the different shapes and sizes until you have enough for your project. You can always make extra to have on hand!

Now comes the fun part! Create flowers by stacking the different pieces. You can mix and match shapes as well as colors. The centers can be a button, a bead or gem.

I used Scrapdots to stack the flowers. This gave them a bit of dimension between the layers.  

Using a small brush I curled under the ends of each petal. I also pulled up the inside pieces.
