Hello crafty friends, Sarah here today with a very personal project - this is a memorial album I made for our son Blake - born still in September 2012. As his 5 year anniversary comes around, I thought that I should finish this project off. When I saw the call for a 'nursery rhymes' theme, it was just perfect! Given this is a project I started some time ago, I have a variety of photos to show you of some finished pages, some instructions (and where to find them) and the last couple of pages I completed. There are of course more personal pages and photographs within the album that are not shown here.
I bought this album kit from Hope Packages - check out their HQ Facebook page here. They have amazing kits for cards and scrapbook layouts which are perfect to then add your photos to or give as a lovely gift. The instructions for these kits (and a few of the characters from my album) look like this. The handouts provide an outline of all the punches required to create each character and cardstock colours for future reference. The kits all come pre punched which is fantastic if you dont have the range of punches needed.
For this project you will also need Helmar Acid Free Glue, your choice of photos and an album to put your completed pages in. Following the instructions above, follow step by step to assemble the characters together. Then put the pages together using patterned paper or cardstock as your base. For each page the nursery rhyme that is represented in the punch art piece is typed and adhered using the Helmar Acid Free Glue, as can be seen below.
Here are some of the other pages within the album;
I hope you enjoyed this project and thankyou for allowing me to share such a special project with you all.
