In our house, we watch football all season long culminating with the Super Bowl. This big game is more about the food, commercials and friends than the actual game. We usually have a game where each of us are assigned squares on a grid. Based on the score at the end of each quarter, someone wins a prize. I thought it would be fun to hide the prizes in handmade paper footballs.
This is a quick and easy project which could also be used for birthday parties!
Supplies include paper grocery bags and Helmar Super Tac Glue. This glue is super fast grabbing and great for everyday projects.
Cut football shapes out of paper bags. Since I wanted 4 finished ones, I cut 8 shapes. Mine are about 11 inches long and 6 inches wide.
Run a bead of glue along both inside edges and hold until bonded. Don't forget to leave an opening for slipping the prize into the ball. I wrapped these small beads, footballs, etc in tissue paper and inserted through an opening at one end. Then I glued the end closed.
Using a white pen, I drew laces on the footballs. Don't these look cute? Just ready for someone to win!
Thank you for joining me for this fun project! I hope you have been inspired to make prizes for your next party!
And, if you do get creative, don't forget to share your projects with us on Facebook!
